The first time I laid eyes one my s13 with a little over 100k miles. I spent around 3 months looking for a decent 240sx On 5/16/11 I brought this one how for $1200. I drove with no plates 180 miles from st louis back home in southern illnois.

 

Bone stock, execpt for the previous owner adding front/rear strut braces an battery relocation, and cold air that i removed.

 

About a month later I ended up with a bad knod a rockin an when she locked up solid I pulled the single cam ka outta the hole.

It was very easy to pull, I spent around 3-4 hours taking my time with the help of a friend an the ka came right out.

 

I little body work was needed

 

Ali was not very happy that she had to help me scrub an prep the engine bay. I also picked up those rims for $100 to hold me over until I swap to five lug an buy something a little nicer

My trip to pick up my motor was just a 1 day all day trip. Ali, Chris, an I loaded up in the truck an took off driving. 230 miles later I Handed over $2300 an loaded up my series 2 rb25det with 30k km!

 

I cleaned up the engine a little while I was waiting to parts to drop it in

 

This is where my nightmare started, I have always been more mechanically inclined an not so much on the wiring side of things. My biggest problem was that I over thinked the whole process way to much. I started with this trying to use a guide I found online that I didnt like very well.

I had to go back an redo a lot of wiring when I found a guide on ebay

I used this and it was a great help. I would give it a try if you are having problems wiring up your rb25 s13 they also have s14 an sr stuff to.

 

My buddy walt (95 cobra) was excited to see im getting back into cars.

Forgive me for the rubber hose, It was for testing purpose to start my motor I wouldnt use it for anything else.

Very nice man! You have come along quite well. I am so happy with my RB. Although there is much to be done to get mine where I want it.

 

i guess im going to start updating my build thread again. thats has been major changes in this car and its going thru some more right now
