BoostinIX: Okay will do, i guess that was just wishful thinking on my part! I know we moved it after we saw the rust.

Ghost: oh wow, yeah i saw some in the UK but they were hella pricy! okay awesome, this jeff guy sounds rather godly when it comes to parts!

You can get some nice prices but just do alot of shoppng around because somethimes you'll find better deals

Couple things:
Don't jackstand there. Per that handy dandy FSM, use the pinchwelds. Even if I were to do it wrong by doing it on the hollow frame, I wouldn't put it on a rust hole.
AMEN

I was terrified just seeing you laying under your car with it jacked up in the wrong spots. Otherwise, keep up the great work.

Couple things:

Check for markings on the IC. Greddy pipes don't always mean Greddy IC

SO is this wrong because i tried jackstanding on the pinch welds and they just started to bend so as per my handy dandy FSM it says frame

Hm. Well couple possibilities, since the newer 240's say to use pinch:

-They changed the frame design and the pinch weld design
-They realized the square frame collapses and isn't a safe place like they originally thought.

Well they seem to be doing alright and there really isn't anywhere else to jackstand. I'm obviously not jackstanding on the rust but unless there's somewhere else?

Okay so saturday night we decided to finish pulling the tranny and hopefully get the engine out!
so out comes the drive shaft
Image

and then after about half an hour of trying to reach the uppermost bolt so does the transmission!
Image

so next we drain the coolant and remove the radiator
Image

Image

then we disconnected all the lines and hoses and so on chained her up, unbolted her, and right as 4:00 AM rolled around we had the SR out!

Okay so now whats next? well first of all i need to go get a quote on the cost of fixing the frame.
I've been told by some friends who have had frame work done before that it shouldn't be a big deal and that hopefully it will be in the 500-1000 range. Any insight?
Then i really need to get around to ordering the downpipe. Also I am wondering if I should paint the car now or wait until we get the engine in right, and then take it out again?
Im assuming that well probably make a couple scratches if we paint it first and knowing how the engine will fit in might really help! any thought?
Also if anyone was wondering i'm thinking a blue colour along the lines of this
Image

anyways I also am not sure which intercooler to order. I mean i eventually wanna achieve 500hp so something that will account for that would be nice. Any thoughts?

That's a loooooooot of money for an OBD2 reader.

There's 100 better ways to spend $466 and get the same info. Also if it's your DD, skip the seat and harness.

That's a lot for coils, you're paying for name. High-end Stance or PBM pro's are 1500 or less. I'd go for the <1200 Stance/PBM.

its not my DD, eventually it'll be a track/drift car.
okay ill check that out.

so i'm going this week to get a quote to fix the frame, anyone know how much around i should be expecting, also structurally is there anything else i might want to consider doing to the car since it will be in the shop?

also do i need to order a new radiator or will the koyo radiator still work?

You need a new one, the inlet/outlet/whatever is on the wrong side IIRC.

Razgriz: it's not for sale yet, depending on how this goes I might throw it in another 240! But I'll let you know, also I don't think I could let it go for quite that cheap!

Boxfresh: oh alright thanks, any suggestions on a radiator, I assume koyo is good if I find one with the proper inlet/outlet?
