Fucked up the polly bushings... Was supposed to re-use outer sleeve of old bushings, but already removed two and a half of them by the time i realized.... Ordering SPL V2 asap. Probably monday though so that I can check if either JE or MA-M have a set locally i could buy.

If I can get a set locally for less than $165, then I'll probably go that route. Otherwise I'm going to 240sx motoring because they're the closest and have the lowest shipping rate I've found so far.

So... I have to put two of em on the car?

If I get more of their shit, I'll put more than those two stickers on the car. Sound good? I'm still deciding on which color to use.

Also, I'm open to putting them on the front / back of the car or one on each side some place.

Post pictures up of the install so more poor 240 owners buy quality suspension parts. We just had our front sway bars re-engineered and they are badass. Comes with new heim joint endlinks and a neon green bar. SHAAABAMM.

You can layer the stickers to make it look even more badass. Put a white one down and a black one offset covering it for a subtle look.

Good looks on the sticker advice. I may do something like that.

And I'll do my best to convince others why quality parts are so nice to have.

if you need spl hit me up I have a hookup
Thanks man, but duballstar helped me out and I only had to drive a half hour or so to pick them up. No shipping and less than what I was ready to spend FTW.

Whats wrong with your Nismo Bushings?
well, nothing... but i only found that out after i had the subframe out.... i'd gotten diff and subframe bushings a while back and was meaning to put them in. Then I made a bit of a woops and took out the sleeves for the old bushings and couldn't use my energy suspension polly bushings, and had to get this set locally as i have a bit of a deadline to meet.

Nissan S13 / S14 Subframe Bushing Set - RaisedSuspension

By the look of them, they leave a bit of a gap between the two pieces that are sandwiched together in the subframe. I assume that is so that you can one day remove them if need be, which is a nice feature.

Duballstar at JE had both the normal ones and the ones I linked in stock which was awesome. I went with the raised ones because of the ability to correct my rear roll center slightly.

Let me see those stickers OR ELSE!
Decided on left and right sides of my front lip. Subtle, but still easy to see in pretty much every on track picture that I've ever seen taken of the car.

I have the same clunking noise in shifts and on and off gas. I was thinking rear subframe bushings but your making me second guess

The first time I heard it, it was the subframe bushings... That was shifting as well as on/off throttle. This time is was only on hard shifting. Going into neutral after accelerating, and going on / off throttle never caused the noise, only hard shifting. This time the noise itself was also not as severe. -- Personally I think you're looking at bad subframe bushings.

And in a few more days when I get the car back together and test drive it... We'll find out if I was right or not lol.

Yeah keep me posted I'm curious. I'm going to do another overhaul on my suspension. New coils new arms energy bushings so I'm hoping that will fix that annoying sound

I was actually goiNg/want the vaster set so I can get a over all better feel with the car. I know there has to be some that need to be replaced. But how much where you looking for the subframe bushings? I might be down to get rid my stupid noise

cant wait to hear it, and that sucks about the sleeves.

i get a clunk when my front tires pull in to a driveway, i think its the balljoints because my steering has absolutely no play so that has to rule out tie rods.

I replied on my visitor message board. You're good till I'm actually broke again and need the money for gas.

Finally got all the sleeves out, took the sub-frame to a friends place the other day. Its still there, I left the new bushings at my house /facepalm.

But his proper map-gas torch, decent metal chisel selection, sawzall, and harbor freight 6 ton press for the inside rubber bits were incredibly helpful. I'd have been up a creek if I did it all at my place. And I think it still took me a total of 12 hours of work from the time the sub-frame was separated from the car till all the sleeves were out.

If I ever do it again, I'll either have a spare sub-frame or have enough money to pay someone else to deal with that shit.

Needless to say, no pictures as I was too busy sweating my ass of in the torching / sledge-hammer-chiseling process.

how long is that hookup going to last? i want to get spl diff and subframe bushings as well. Mine clunks like a mofo all the time. Shit, my subframe squeaks when i get out of the car lol. Beyond Shot.

Today's action plan:

Apply green stickers to front lip.
Clean up after fluid change.
Re-route parking brake cables.
Clean wheels.
Put subframe bushings and grease into the car to take over to DJ's.
Set up radial arm saw with metal blade, trim old flange clean.
Get metal blades in sawzall for exhaust fab.
Buy 5/8'' nut and bolt for bushing instal.

Get bushings into subframe.
Re-attach suspension arms to subframe.
Re-mount subframe to chassis.

Do rear brakes.
Eyeball alignment.
Begin exhaust fabrication.

??? Coolant flush ???
First set I'm doing now, second set I'm doing tonight, third set I'm doing tonight / into tomorrow.

Alignment appointment is Friday at 3pm after an interview at 10:30am in Annapolis.
