newb/former honda tuner input

i myself have boosted a built 1.8L (b18) honda frankinstien engine me and a couple friends did it over 4days and had a local dyno place tune it overall it cost a little over $2500 including the engine swap (stock civic sohc suck) but i have heard of people boosting stock H23's (prelude engines) witch have very low compression at around 5-9psi im talking stock everything except intake manifold and sometimes injectors and the engines lasted. so im thinking couldn't you just turbo a stock ka24e which is around the same size and compression up to around 7 or 8 psi ( in the same nieghborhood as a stock sr20det psi) im guessing you would be getting around just over 200 hp again similear to the sr20det and would cost around $1000 maybe a bit more. just a thought for people on a tight budget.

Damnit man! Looks like my car is illegal. Now Ive gotta sell my illegal car and find one without a Sun Roof. Thanks MrMig.
No problem, beware of the fun patrol! If you get caught, they may give you trouble for giving Senior Twenty a ride through town. :door:

In other news, for doubters, you really can make a KA competitive, even as N/A. Yea yea, I know this is the KA-T vs. SR thread, but it should be said.

Here's one of PDM Racing's cars:
PDM Racing - STS N/A 240SX Pink Princess

176hp N/A - already beats up a stock SR.

And I have a friend with an S13, N/A KA with some bolt on parts and an AEM EMS + a 4.3 final drive, and it definitely comes real close to holding its own against my stock sr'd S14.
