I'm new and not a bot. :)

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my mothers '93 S13 which has a seized motor.
You have 2 options.
A full rebuild.
Or
A motor swap.

But swapping in another motor you never know 100% The mileage or history of it no matter what the person you buy it from tells you. Its always a gamble unless it's someone you know is trust worthy.

What have you done to verify its seized?

im real and have a real question about my 95 s14 working great when it's cold but not when it's hotter out. Actually it surrounds the clutch system which is pretty much all new from the clutch fly wheel CMC and slave cylinder. Really frustrated.

What do you mean "surrounds"?

I have a question, I am a member on other forums, Is the a no no on here or a red flag because one of my friends got banned from the chevy forums for being a member to another forum?
No, you can do whatever you want as far as forums and membership.

Hey, I'm new to this group. I was curious as to whether the webpage is still used at all? most posts seem like 12 years old or older! I recently purchased my first 240sx. It is a 1990 hatch. Thank goodness it's in immaculate shape for its age! I do have one issue that I would like to research specifically and that is the heat in the car. The car blows air at all settings however, it is not very warm at all which is concerning to me because I live in Canada and it's freakin cold out!!! anyway, if you could point me in the right direction it would be VERY helpful. I also plan on swapping my KA24E to a CA18DET and I was curious as to whether or not there are any forums relating to the topic? Thanks in advance!

Try burping the coolant system. You could have an air bubble. If that checks out, move on to next.

Make sure you have a thermostat in it. That will cause it not to get up to temp/not blow hot air.

If that is good, your core could be plugged.

Hi guys, im not necessary new here because I have only posted once, but I want to ask some questions but can't start one because it has been disabled till I introduce myself, Here I am I have a 1990 Single Cam 240sx it's been in the family for 8 years and It's not the most perfect one since it has rust in the drivers frame rail (Typical 240sx in the east) but I plan on restoring it and keeping it in the family saving a 240 after all no matter what the money is spent fixing it, Money can't buy history and memories so selling it would be a big no no. By the way nice to meet everyone :big_grin:

I am yet to own a 240, but if anyone is willing to help me with where to look or any websites i'd greatly appreciate it! this is my first time ever looking for a car like this

Craigslist or Facebook. Probably the first and easiest places to look.

Hello! I'm Sallye, been wanting to move to a rwd platform since I moved out of the land of snow and salt (NY) to Clemson. Currently taking a year off from classes to intern and found an '89 (RB20 swapped) at the right price. Isn't running currently, but it should be a fun challenge to get 'im going.

Any recommendations for other forums to join regarding the RB20? I know that isn't exactly the popular swap choice here.

New here as well. My 240 is a 98 SE 5-speed I've had about 12 years. Lot of upgrade paths and directions to go in, and I'm hoping to find firsthand information on parts that work, parts that don't, or why I should or shouldn't do some of the things I think about doing.

hey, new to the forum just bought a 1993 s13 hatch. I absolutely love it, got it for a steal. straight body clean interior and decent upgrades in the suspension, stock ka24de motor with only 108,737 miles on it! has back and front sway bars and upgraded rotors. Its not completely perfect, has cracked windshield and dash, the hatch supports wont stay up on there own, and has a rusty driver side frame rail. Its sadly automatic but definitely looking into making it a manual. No other rust on the car which is surprising for a 24 years old car in new york city lol. Otherwise i think i was very lucky to find this car and get such a good deal. Im just now trying to get into the project car world so any advice on anything 240sx related will be appreciated!

Hey I'm looking for some help identifying an electrical issue. Might be a couple things. Some background: I recently purchased the vehicle and it's been running great except the starter seems a bit sluggish turning over. The car is a 90 s13 hatch with a sr20det swap. The battery is relocated in the trunk (I just bought a new one). My problem is it's starting intermittently now. When it won't start, everything else has power and seems to be functioning (fans, lights...). The lights dim when I try to start it but there is no sound or clicking. I can push start it and it drives flawlessly. It seems to start back up better on it's own while warm, when I've tested it. I started checking grounds but I haven't been able to find solid answers on where all of them are supposed to be. The one in the trunk is definitely good. And the positive wire has power at the fusebox. Any insight into this would be helpful
