As good as this is, needs to go for a bit. Luckily, there's a fitting replacement for the time being

Well that's annoying, but something was bound to leak. Deal with that soon.

Image

Finally looked into why my new turn signal stalk wasn't auto-cancelling. Little spring-loaded gear was stuck down on old grease, probably when I installed the new steering wheel. Simple pop up and we're good

More goodies starting to arrive

But first- Dyno Day

Image

Image

So on wastegate alone (after removing the stock boost control solenoid that can add some boost in higher gears); ran 195HP. (RPM reading may be a smidge low)

Low boost- 12.5ish, 225HP

High boost - 14.5, 250HP

Image

Plenty enough for now.

Missing fog surround finally installed; along with new clips and bolts

Naturally now the existing one looks like poop. Will have to grab a new one next order.

Still waiting on parts to arrive, but something arrived:

Neat for just plugging in to the consult port. Unpictured: It can also control fuel pump on/off. Need to figure out where to mount it now.

Tried to install a GKTech Torque Damper...but that won't work.

More little bits

Oof these need paint. Eventually.

While I'm in here... installed some M10 RivNuts in the existing chassis holes

R34 GT-R Battery Tray fits pretty well, Cold-Region variant for the extra tray space.

New elbow. Nice to see the change from the previous gen I had to cast

Needed some new AN wrenches

Some toolbox stickers, maintenance bits, jack points

One of my happy parts - Yashio Factory Titanium Strut Bar. Didn't know it'd be signed, but not complaining.

Battery getting closer. It technically clears upright, but just a PITA so. Will suck up the OCD issues and live with it sideways w/ an inverted label.

Image

Image

Now you see it

Image

Now you don't

Bottom half of the manifold isn't even rusty yet. Weird seeing it clean

Ti downpipe with heat is neat

Progress is painful.

Buy 3mm allen socket.
Immediately breaks.

Image

Fine. Double nut method works.

Image

Until the studs are too long.

Image

So now ordered new OEM studs and nuts. To go with the new Exhaust Manifold nuts. So much for using Titanium lol

Image

That's going to be a problem. Onto a heat shield.

Image

Image

Need manifold in to do more testing.

I had to look around a little bit because I know I had seen a bolt-in heat shield for the ABS module; it looks like Weld and D-Max both make bolt in shields, or at least, used to. However, it does like the D-Max is available on eBay, but I can't open the link on this computer.

Heh sadly the dmax fits like poop. Not even close. I got one off Buyee and was excited til I test fit it.

Weld always looked amazing. Would have loved one of those...

More work, less pictures.

What a pain in the ass. ABS bracket can fk right off. Such a pain to get that all in there.

Petina is cool though.

Image

I need to redo that factory breather, the bending touches the manifold and DEI is not rated for manifold temps lol. New radian line will fix that.

In other news: More goodies:

New HID headlights

Image

Image

YF Valve Cover. May run it. May just make it wall art.

Discussion starter · #2,775 ·
Well that didn't last long.

Image

Image

Jimmy O vid where they installed this at YF wasn't much help....this would not be a long term fix...
Image

Image

Image

I hate it...but it works for now. Maybe have the bung moved on the intake when I get FMIC piping done.
