you have to cut a wire to not just pull the sensors i did it and ive gotten my car well above 130

go to 240sx.org FAQ you have to cut he speed sensor wire, I think it is yellow and green not sure though, I have done it but have not taken it past the governor since but, it did solve the problem of my car only revig to 5100 in all gears, apparently the speed sensor was not fuctioning correctly and the computer was thinking I was in 5th in all gears

with the speed sensor pin pulled from the ecu and the sensors disconnected i hit 138 today but ran out of road, it was still accelerating, i was at around 6300 rpms

there is no reason upon inspection for them to to look at or even know with out driving if there is anything wrong with the speed sensor!! Maybe if u cut some wires and they saw that, but not reason under any inspection for them to look for that unless u ask them.. Is that why u took it in? I have a 90 240sx fb.
