Making your own ground-wire kits, where have you guys mounted the grounding wires at? I searched on here, didn't find anything other than a guy trying to sell a grounding kit (two different threads) and a thread on relocating your battery. Sorting through Google was a pain, didn't find a chart or pics really of where I should mount my grounding cables...any help guys? :12dunno

just start adding grounds.. the more the better.. it may seem redundant but it is simple, the more paths there are to ground the better.. i went from the intake manifold to the fender(similar to stock only new&bigger), from the back of the head to the firewall(similar to stock only new&bigger), from one of the a/c bracket mounts to the "frame rail", and soon i will be adding 12g or 14g grounds to all of the main sensors after is go to the aem ems.. tps, map, iat, etc..

the ground wire is red because it's what was onhand. i'm thinking about doing it all over again with black, should i ever make my engine bay presentable.

the engine bay is still the original red pearl, but the exterior is '03 grand prix GTP orange... Fusion Orange Metallic, i believe.

Revolution you really helped me out here with the pictures. Giant Killer your explaination helped alot too, the whole the more the better.
Oh, Rev, I also like the paint too...I suppose you didn't feel like doing the engine bay at the time? That's why I'm keeping the stock color, LOL....
Anyway, I remember seeing your pics somewhere else too, just didn't know who did it and there were no searches that pulled yours up. Thanks for the help guys!

Rev, let's see the car. =o)

Fock you always come through for me, haha!! Quick question--I know the pic is old (and didn't you sell your car yet?)--but do you have any pics at other angles?

yeah, i woulda had to pull the engine for absolutely no reason other than to get the bay sprayed, and that would have just been way too much effort... so i'm waiting until i pull it this summer (new head gasket, valve seals, piston rings), at which point i'll be spraying the bay flat black... i'm actually thinking about redoing the whole car, because i did the body work this last time, and didn't do the best job in the world =\ thinking about getting the car painted triple black. anyway... threadjack, here's pics :D

Eh, thread change, lol...Rev, where in the midwest are you? I remember seeing your pics up for the midest 240 pics...you chose some crazy places to post those pics, haha

Yep, heard o' Soco. Where'd you hit up for those pictures?? Some pretty choice locations.
How many peeps you know around here with 240s? Thinkin' of meetin at Ameristar one night to kick it or something....(parking garage full of 240s = sexy)...

...anyway, more pics of grounding points! More details!! Aaaaiiiieee....

mmm, garage full of 240s.....

meh, not many, actually off the top of my head i can only think of three. but there's a few around, i bet we get 20 or so at the meet in march. these are just samples of a series i took, first pic is on meramec bottom under the highway 21 bridge, pic two and three are on old lemay ferry, and the last pic is in Arnold Park off jeffco blvd, just south of the meramec. as you can see, soco and the surrounding areas make up a nice big decrepit shithole :D

oh, i just threw an 8 gauge ground wire onto the back of my head unit (there's a bolt on there for it), and bolted it to the chassis... and amazingly, it actually made a big difference.

I figure for less than $20 there's no reason not to try grounding the engine. =o) That's why I'm looking for as much feedback on something like this as possible!
