oh ok like i said i might have misunderstood his werds and i have never met him so i didnt know his knowlege....i should have that stuff for u sunday i can come up and bring it to where ever u want it with my truck.....ill give u everything....cyl #1 blew...looks like pison or something hit spark plug and lost the oil ring too...but it still starts right up and runs fine....btw it has sr injectors on it so thats a bonus for you... :dancingcoFred166gac said:

I know your not trying to flame but seeing arron and ashlys taste in cars, i think they steer twards a more cleaner look. people who love kits usually dont know how to drive. unless they have endless amounts of money to replace that stuff, and just dont care. My coilpack went bad(10k miles after warranty), not that much of a shock though there are some out there with lower mileage than me who've had to replace thiers.
99-00 original factory coilpacks have a knack for having a short-lifespan, about 20 people on the miata.net forums have had them replaced. Seems like an issue that affected many but not enough to send out a service recall.
I ordered mines last week, came in today. I'll be putting it in wed.
For some of those that know, my check engine light was on for a while. I had originally thought it was the 02 sensor or at worst the warm-up cat which is what the odbII scanner was giving me. I took it to the dealer because federal emissions warranty is 96k miles, free replacement cat.
Turns out the Coilpack went/or is going bad, causing a misfire in the ignition system and crapping the cat out. I remember how fouled my spark plugs were when I last checked them, the idle was a bit higher and rougher, there seemed to be somewhat of a drop in power and there were the few times that the engine would run on 3cylinders until I resetted the ecu by disconnecting the battery cable.
So they didn't charge me a thing and tell me once I put in my coilpack, bring it back for the free replacement cat
