bov... v-mount has been tossed around for my car for ahwhile now.. if and when i do it.. i'm cutting.. but i will rebuild the front section with strength and lack of flex in mind.. i'd share but that's for me to know and you too see later.. actually nothing is really set in stone.. think tube frame to an extent.. what do you plan to do to control airflow?

has anyone tried twin side mount intercoolers??? or is it too ineffiecient? the idea would be to evenly displace the weight around the car. Maybe that'd be somthing to ur setup. ... Porsche turbo... i think does somthing like it. (weight distribution idea)

plus, wouldn't that be more ideal for race? i know u need power, but consider overall balance... plus wouldn't a V-mount set up make the CG higher? (CG=Center of Gravity)

If you flipped your ic around so that the inlets were at the front of the car instead of at the engine side it would be less of a bend for your ic piping and make the job easier for you..just a suggestion...good work though

IC wont fit the other way, i have the top of the IC tucked up under the rad support already. The piping wont be hard, the turns wont be as sharp as you guys are thinking, itll be smooth bends.(look at the pic at the top of this page, perfect example)

I dont think anyone has tried the twin cooler setup, but that would be so much more piping, and more exposed mess to get hit in a small bump, and if that happened boost leak galore. I have thought about doing it before, but it doesnt seem fucntions al for a front engine car, rear/mid engine needs it.

The CG wont chance...du to the massive weight of the radiator being so close to the ground once its full of water, IC is aluminum also, weighs about 20lbs i think...

BTW how did you route those Oil lines to the oil cooler?? looks kinda funky.
Cooler lines...go from sandwich plate thats on relocation kit right to the back of the cooler, the cooler will be moved once the V-mount is done. Itll be down where the windsheidl washer fuild canister used to be.

coool, they put the oil cooler part of it too, not THAT has to be a easy oil filter change now...since I mean its kinda a bitch for us normally. that and i can see why you mean you dont want to cut it, i cant imagine the stress put on parts of the front chassis and like a good accident with that will CRUMBLE the front end

Despite it being the wrong chassis and an ugly car, it does feature the motor in question. It also shows what can be done with some creative ducting to get the air going where you want it.

Casey, if you want these removed, give the word. If you do though, you're going to have to post some S13 V-mount pictures! :)

EDIT: As far as structure goes, this probably provides almost as much (realistically) as the stock stuff.

Andy, im glad you put those pics up, i noticed a few good ideas for mounting the baffles :)

Ill put pics up as soon as SVT buys my radiator and as soon as i sell my old IC piping, that way i can get all new piping, yeah i said it, and my new radaitor then i can finish it all up :).....

anybody notice whats missing on that Signal setup?

interesting they arnt using one, i wonder why.....
cuz it sounds better and you dont lose as much boost during shifts, but at the expense of your turbo. i'm sure a measely turbo is nothing to a big company like signal...

your intercooler is asking for a hood scoop

please read over the other pages, the whole setup has been walked through, and no "hood scoop" will be used, just good ducting and venting.

Good call on that, being that that car is stricly a show car for promotion reasons i can see why it was dont like that, plus with the high end comapny "spare no expenses" policy they use, money is no issue.

Actually that car is not a show car andl it is not a G35. It is a RHD JDM Skyline 350 GT. They did a drift exhibition with it and their notorious R34 GT-R at Nopi Nationals this year and they were NOT easy on the car.

I can post some videos of the drift exhibition if someone could tell me who can host video.

After the exhibition the Signal Auto crew took questions from the crowd and the BOV was brought up. The reasoning behind it according to the Signal boys was that the motors were built to withstand all the boost that the turbo could throw at the motor so there was no need for one.
