I don't care what's under the hood. I just get tired of reading "oh put a v8 in it" . I came from 2 camaro's to my 240. I love driving my 240 way more. And before anyone says something about power. Well my 89 had a 383 stroker in it with 1000cfm carb and 3800 stall. So it wasn't a power issue :)

btw silvia s13 , if that's your car in your sig, i f'n hate you. black tII, damn.

Do the math:

4 rotor RX-7 = teh sechs on wheels

it looks nice, and it the car sounds nice too... but im still not to faund of the v8 swap.. no matter what anyone tells me.. i will never like it..

Umm I hate to say it but this guy is an Idiot! He first says he did the 4 rotor to be different and streetable! This means he spent some major dough for a 4 rotor! Then he says he didn't do a turbo set-up because it was "COST PROHIBITIVE???" How in the hell is a 4-rotor not cost prohibitive? I think he has more money then he knows what to do with and had some shop make him a nice little motor to stick in his FD and then he just had to come up with an excuse as to why it wasn't turbo!

But whatever, I am venting and I've had a bad day!

Hmm ... well if he had a turbo 4 rotor then it would most certainly not be streetable. And a turbo 4 rotor I am sure would be very complex vs just doing a 4 rotor.

Are you sure about that LS1 thing? What about transmission as well? Throws off the weight distribution ...

So forget the streetable part, he still said it was COST MF'ING PROHIBITIVE! And if you want to talk about complex he obviously has a decent machine shop if they made him a custom eccentric shaft for his 4 rotor motor!

Any one actually have a reasonable ball-park on what a 4 rotor would cost to make?

i would rather have a 4 rotor N/a vs a 13b turbo anyway
i hope you have alot of money to be able to build a 4 rotor, not to mention getting it run properly and being reliable.. dont forget about making sure you have enough clearence in the engine bay to have it sit perfect w/o it rubbing on the firewall..

if i had the money i would just build a na 3 rotor with a large street port, thats more than enough for that engine and it dosnt harm the reliablity of the motor..
