me and friends are going to see it not for the entertainment but just to make fun of it and get kick out of the movie theathers. were going to all get lazor pointers and shit. its going to be great.
your going to see so many civic's trying to drift by pulling there e-brake

Plus I don't see it as a waste. It'll be an entertaining movie. None of them are movies to learn anything from. Just some "good" looking cars, a typical hero, wins in the end plot, and good bit of excitement.

It's entertainment, worth the good times just like the others were.

Does it fuck up a bit of the car community? Yes. Will it ruin it completely? No. Are you ppl bitchin' to much? Yes.

i'm not joking they'll go higher. i'm telling you sr5 86 3grand. gt-s 86 6grand. S14's are going to be 7grand

I'm so upset I have a bunch of teenagers on an internet forum telling me to go kill myself. I just might take you guys seriously, watch out! It's no suprise that every one of you has registered within the last two months. That just goes to show you the kind of idiots that are just flocking to the 240/JDM craze right now.

but that's the thing 10 year old cars weigh less then any car's today. people are going to want import cars that rwd that weigh less then 3,000 pounds. which car's qualify for that??? well, 240's, 86's, Rx-7's.

And I'm telling you S14s are already at those prices.

Don't know about AE85s & AE86s since I'm not interested in either, but the 240sx is already to costly. Just look on cars.com & autotrader.com, prices are stupid all over the country. All they have to do is put "Drifter Ready" in the damn description and that's atleast a good $1,500 ontop of the already high price.

S14, they are already that high, but they will continue to get higher. They have consistently gotten higher over the past 2-3 years and they will continue to do so until the scene dies out.

Not true for my car(3000gt vr4). its a 93 and weighs 4200lbs with a full tank and me in it:eek4: . but then again it has 4wd and 2 turbos:thumbsup

No it wasn't. This is a forum for ppl who own or are interested in the 240SX.

That's nice, you go watch Titanic then. I'll be watching this movie (For free) and pretty sure I'll enjoy it. Will I get laughs out of the bullshit one-liners and bullshit "facts" it'll have on cars and the motorsport we know as drifting? Ofcourse.

I have no hatred towards a movie. You know why? Because it's a freakin' movie. I'd have to be some stupid 16 year old whiney bitch (Sorry if this meets your description, purely coincidental) to have so much hate for a movie.

I'll even go as far as saying it'll probably help the sport a bit. Cops will crack down harder on idiots who decide to drift and race on streets. In turn that keeps me and whomever I care about safer from dumbasses. People will take it to where it belongs, the tracks. Only ones at risk are you and other people who choose to participate.

I know it has. I'm pissed off that I didn't know about the drifting scene and didn't foresee such a huge price increase. I was thinking the prices were going to go down and I'll snatch up a mint s14 zenki SE.

But dude, to expect them to go higher? :eek: Stock koukis avg. 8-11k out in cali. Stock zenkis avg. 4-8k. Sometimes more. Now think about the ones that are modified :eek::eek::eek::eek: It's insane. You can buy an s13 FB or Coupe for roughly aroud $2k throw in an SR red top that fetches you a little over what you got your car for (if you do it all yourself) and then sell it for nearly $10k! WTF?????

I think we've reached the point already with 240SX's prices. Besides the movies seems to only have newer Japanese cars (I.E. Z33s, RX8s, G/V35s, EVOs, etc.). I'd figure these cars to be the big thing with ppl, especially since by the end of the year and beginning of next many Zs will be coming off leases. Easy and relatively cheap pickings right there for many folks.

Also, take into consideration how much GM is trying to get the drifting audience to look at it's new lineup of RWD cars. The Solstice and Sky roadsters will probably be huge hits with n00b drifters onces word gets out that they're contenders at drifting events.

minime are you a f***ing idiot? When on this thread did I say that my 240sx was a silvia? Wow you are by far the dumbest person I have ever seen on the forums. About me joining...Yep I joined today...what do YOU have against that? Yep my 240sx is almost stock right now...but we will see how you'll run your mouth by the end of the summer. In other words dont talk shit about my car if YOU dont have anything better :happyfing

F&F will fuck up thigs again.... once again some dumbfuck will go out try to drift in his civic, kill himself, and cops are gna be a the watch for drifting..... great sumthin i really loved... now its gna be like fucking streetracing.

btw... n e one in the northridge CA area... my cuzz go to high school there and she said that the cops had a whole presentation about the problem with drifting around that area (reseda area) basically if u live in or close to northridge and u do anythin close to drifting.. ur screwed
