who thinks the new FnF will make or break drifting. i dont think that it can hurt it. also it is one reason y i am going to go ahead and get a 240 or a 280 cause the price will go up after all the ricers see the movie..

also who will go see it? i know i will end up seeing it.. i am just afraid that some dumbass with a fwd car will try to drift out of the parking lot and go straight into my car lol

the fast and the furious ruins all scenes for NON-PRO-NON-SPONSORED racers or car enthusiasts.. you can thank RJ DE VERA for that. I just think its stupid to take something people like and make it mainstream and not let it do it on its own. but its a movie and movies are not made to be precise or accurate or entertaining, theyre made to make money... its like that for a lot of movies ! f the movies and them damn scientologists and all them big money makin foos !!! and drifting has been around for years, my cousin had an s13 when they first came out and he was already into the option videos and mags... same with drag and street racing, people been doing it for years and FnF just makes it harder for everyone because it puts us in the spotlight a very bad one...

I agree it will spoil the sanctity of our sport but there's nothing we can do about it. Also it does have the Falken Drift FD3S in the end of the preview. Regardless of the fact that the movie is undoubtedly ricer, that car still kicks ass.

Well..im going to go watch it when it comes out, then Im going to park in the parking lot and watch all the kids drifting their civics into a lightpole. I think the movie wont do much for the drifting scene seeing that ricers are already aware about "drift" so this is just going to show them that their civics or other slow fwd cars aren't ment for drifting.

Tokyo drift is going to make drifting illegal in America because people who have never heard of drifting before will be trying to drift and not in parking lots or somewhere far away from people. They will be doing it in the street in populated areas where police can find them and people can get hurt.

But it is kinda cool that they are making this movie, just take out Bow Wow.

^scratch that, after thinking about it. It isn't cool

Hey hey now. This is good for all of us. The more these kiddos mess the car's up, the more parts car we'll be able to find. I'll be sure to take my video camera to the movies with me though...Because the first wreck I see...It's all going on video. :D .....America's Funniest Home Videos...or...Max X? What do you guys think?

this is how i feel too, I had a Friend in high school (1995-99), i can remember going to his house and watching drift and time attack videos with s13s and s14s in them,(the Friend had an s13) and i wanted one sooo bad, especially when we rode to the skate park with him doing 110 down the pa turn pike. but it wasn't until i got out of school and got a job that i could afford to buy mine, now every momma and daddy richy bitch boy is gonna be buying them and wrecking them, its already starting to happen just with drifting getting so big we don't need fnf to fuck it up even more, i used to street race quite a bit and after the first movie they started cracking down around here, I had Friends that had cars impounded and houses raided, and now there are kids in town that are riding around in 240s with big gay wangs on them thinking they are cool with tribal patterns up the sides, and their exhaust leaks, cops see them running around then see me and follow me for miles just to try to pull me over for any reason. all I need is for these gay kids to see a movie and try to copy the inaccurate script and kill someone or themselves. then ill probably have a cop sitting at my driveway everyday to follow me to work. well thats enough ranting for me and please dont start with the street racing is dangerous and shit cause i said i used to, i have gotten older and smarter since those days.

i woundnt worry about the the people flaming about how dangerous street racing is... im sure everybody has had a lil run in on the road. but damn houses being raided? that sucks
there isnt as much rice around as there was back when the first fnf came out around here that is, the only people that mostly do it are the hispanics (not being racial just its who mostly has ricey cars around here also not saying other races dont have ricey cars)

well to be honest..........

I would have to say the whole FaF movies slap the import racing scene in the face I mean come on now its just disrespectful to all the true tuners. Here we are trying to make this not only a hobby, but also a sport and then these movies came out that just shot us in the hole that much more and turned all us tuners into hathens and "gangsters". All of us tuners don't want this to go through like skateboarding went through we are trying to make this into a competitive sport that is respected and looked up on, not shamed and ridiculed.

I personally have a hatred for the movie series because what it has done to the import/tuner world, now the only reason ppl join in to do this is cause they think its like being the rebel in a pack. I don't want that and I know a lot of others that feel the same way.

Well, I'm sorry for rambling on like this, its just its a very touchy subject for me. Take it easy everyone and kick that ass end around like you mean it!!!!:thumbsup
