Here's a question:

I don't doubt that you all have seen the first two movies hense your hatred for it. Why spend money to see the third just to flame it? And try to avoid all answers that revolve around 'silent hopes of it being better than the first two.' I never understood that *shrug*

oh youll be able to tell the legit from the bandwagoners, just like the true honda guys. i love me a nice clean honda but i hate me a shopping cart wing on a 125 hp car and steelies when your car came with rims haha and stickers everywhere but you dont own that product, more time spray painting and adding useless accesories rather than fixing your car and doing an oil change. you can just tell usaully, but some people try there hardest but they just dont have the money and those are the ones i respect because they make due with what they got.

Exactly. The thing I find funny is everyone complaining about the "bandwagoners" seems to be the same people with a stock KA, but already decked out with JDM lights, fenders, and rims.

ATTENTION PEOPLE: your lights and rims aren't any less of a waste of money than the unpainted body kit or wing on the Civics you try to make fun of. Sure you think it looks good, but I'm sure the guy with the Civic thinks his car looks good too.

oh, and does anyone know what kind of muscle car Lucas Black drives in the begining against Tim the Tool Man's kid?

nova. it was either a 71 or72, pretty sure. correct me if i'm wrong.
WRONG! It was a 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo. The original is a fucking beast too. Thing had an insanely INSANELY badass engine in it. 800 Horse and 770+ Torque. Plus I don't know the exact specs on the engine, but I know for a fact it was not a 454 or a 502. Simply put it had more displacement than the Viper.

drifting has made an impact on the market though. here in LA people are trying to get 3 grand for a 89 240sx(stock).
when i bought my first 89 240 in WA state back in 1996 i paid 4 grand, it had rims n tires, HKS exaust, fog lights, seatbelt straps and a few other ricey things. (this was when rice was just a underground thing). It also had alot less miles and was a very clean car.

The Blue book value of a 89 240sx is around 1500, but they're going for double that the last few months. Try and find one under 2 grand on craigslist now!? Its not gonna get "crazy" with the prices, but they have definately come up already.

The movie helped blow up the scene, but not by much. Scenes blow up themselves, and if its not one person makeing money off a upcoming "thing", then its another.

It will die like all other things, whos here after that are the people that have a love for it.

And on the plus side. When things "blow up", the people that are diehard and have been doing it for a long time look like pro's and are looked at with respect. Not bad huh?? Everyone likes a little credit for what they do and put there time and energy into right??

Sorry, just ranting a bit. my bad:)

... omg and who gets royally screwed on prices ME!!! Just yesterday I called a dude about his stock '90 coupe that was listed without a price and he goes psycho on me and says he wants $4,300!!!!!! But he was kind enough to mention he would consider selling it for $3,500 if no one is interested. FAWK JEW!!!

I could give a rats ass about drifting, I don't see any point to sliding around. Sure it looks like it could be fun, but it's yet to get my interest. I just want a stock s13 coupe to make into a track slut and a s14 zenki SE for an extra daily driver (I'd probably only put wheels and an aftermarket suspension on it) and do some light autocrossing with it.

Then after all that is done I'll buy an Audi B5 S4.

i liked this movie it was a lot better than the 1st two, for he simple fact the cars were actual drift cars.. not some show cars that apparently ran 10s 1/4 mile, lil bow wow make a black man like me want to drift more now hehe, but i really loved that s15s NOW come with rb26s... i didnt know that until this movie and im glad i was notified of that, mainly the cars, women and Dorikin made this movie decent!

I have gotten in so many arguments about that motor. People said it was an sr20 and I said it definitely was an RB.
Wow...the motor definatly read RB on it as well during all of the zoom ins. It was definatly an RB.

I do agree that the price are going to flux slightly. I am looking for yet another 92 to dress up so i can have the other put onto the tracks. My boy knew the owner of a 1991 and bought it for $400. Stocks are listed as high as $4,000 on craigs list! And ebay, forget about it. People are f*cking nuts. They need to realize that the 240sx isn't the greatest car up front. It's the potential that lies behind it. Therefore, dont attempt to sell me your stock 92 for anything over a grand! Especially if it's in "okay" condition.

yea i have to agree with him. i liked this one way more than tha other two but the first i think was better than tha second. but the third one was good i thought. an liked chased said he did have more into it than looking pretty. he jus wanted to drive fast an then wanted to learn how to drift no matter how hard it was to him. it was cool in my opinion. by tha way what was that one orange an black car. kindof looked a lil like an mr2 spyder???
It was an rx7.

And for every one else out there who sits and complains about the FF movies are a bunch of hippocrites because okay if you saw the first one and didn't like it... why watch the next 2? Shut up you posers.

Its entertainment I could give a rats ass if any of the movies were bad. I watched them to atleast see cars that I respect. Some of them were crap but what are you going to do...I would rather make more money off riceing at cars and make a bank at the box office than fire up 800whp Supras with stock bodies. (seriously which ones are going to bring in the money? think about it.

Just look at HIN...more people look (and respect) the crazy looking cars from what I have seen. Just park a crazy paintjob car next to ...Ken Henderson or Markos big ass single (both stock bodied and pushing 1000whp+) I will bet you both my kidneys and my penis that more people will find the crazy car more fun to look at:gaylaugh

but whatever floats your boat man.

Maybe they went into the second one thinking, "It can only get better". Wrong, haha. I think people should shut up about the movie already. It is just for entertainment. While we are on the topic of car movies, did anyone like "Gone in 60 Seconds", (The remake, not the original, although the chase scene kicked ass in that one)? I thought it was a good movie. Good acting, directing, cinematography, writing, and a pretty cool car chase. Although, Eleanor stole the show.

edit: ^beet me to it
