1st 240 build. Slow, but steady.
I have a 1991 5spd s13 240sx - red. I have had the car for about a month in running condition. I bought the car for $700:tongue4: and had to tow it home. The cam alignment was JACKED UP! So, we pulled it apart and sent the head in to get aligned properly. We also went ahead and replaced the timing chain. Ended up dropping a 10m bolt down into the oil pan... The power steering pump ended up being blown, so we also replaced it. Did all the reg. maintenance and what not.
The original owner put pins on the hood. There were also holes at the tip of the hood where the guy tried to make the hood open the opposite way. So I found a primed hood for 40 bucks.
For $700 the car was a steal even with the problems. Every accessories worked in the car, all signals worked.
The car being a 91 HB it had the Chuki nose. Personally I dislike the Chuki, so I went on Craigslist and found a fairly beat up pignose and lip for about $90 bucks together. Nothing a little bond-o can't fix =p.
Unfortunately I did not take picture of the original bumper before I got the new bumper on.
The whole audio system was ripped out when we bought the car so I put in an Xplod radio my Uncle was kind to give me. Then I bought some door speakers. I put those in and ultimately decided I wanted a bit more...so I bought a Kenwood Amp and threw in 2 12 inch Kenwood subs. Many people i have talked to say the subs were a waste...maybe, but i spent $30 for both subs. Gotta love last year models and clearance. found the enclosure for $80 on Crutchfield.com and Amp for $100. So, the whole system was pretty cheap considering.
Finally got my Exhaust in. I would have gotten it a day sooner, but i wasn't home to sign off for it. Megan Racing Cat back : drift spec. I had some space issues with the tow hook. So my paps and I took a saw to it. After a smashed finger, few scraps and bruises...finally got it to fit.
Found a cheap steering wheel so I threw it on as well.
