I assume you got the compressor adapter from Cody Ace yea?

If so- good, it makes compressor installation a breeze and everything will line up perfectly! Also, hopefully you went ahead and cleaned/purged the system before you put it all together; then serviced it with fresh PAG or Ester oil.

The compressor switch connector is on the body harness by the driver's side fuse box (If you're using a DOHC body harness), you can see mine sitting loose by the PS reservoir:

IIRC, the hi/lo pressure switches & condenser fan should be on the main harness.

If you're running the clutch fan, you will need to relocate your filter/drier, or nothch out the fan shroud.

Worse case, call Yuri at WS- he's hella-helpful with tech support.

Will follow this thread- getting to this very point in my build.

BTW you can PM BoostinIX. He has an S14 SR in his S14.5 w/AC system. If anything, he may be able to tell you 100% for sure which connectors are on what harness.

Found out my emails werent syncing so I just got the replies... I didn't get the bracket kit yet but I plan to.. It's lined up perfect with the pully but it's only using one bolt... The ac system came straight off a running s13 so I figured it was ok just to bolt on everything.. I will add the new oil and everything though. I found the wire for the compressor and I'm cutting that off and wiring the new pigtail I got for the dohc compressor. Where i was lost if where to wire the pressure switch and how do I wire my ac fan.. I currently have 2 electric fans on the radiator now using a fan controller and the controller had a green wire to hook up so they turn on when the ac is switched on but where do I attatch that? Will the condensor be fine with just the 2 fans on the radiator or do I have to wire up the 3rd fan I have and if so where? How? I had the evaporator on one side and some oil came out so I'm guessing I have to put some back in.. Where do I put the oil for it and the compressor and which oil.. Sorry if this seems like a lot but I have never dealt with the ac system.. I'll post up some pics soon so you can see how I have it...I will email wiring specialties also because whenever I emailed them in the past te replied really fast and were always very helpful.. :welcome:

Okay, I happened to talk with Andy (my fabricator & 240sx guru/whipping boy). All the AC stuff is on the body harness, not the upper or lower engine harnesses. You should find all the connectors you need already there.

You don't replace any oil that came out of the filter/drier- you replace the filter/drier itself any time you disconnect it after is has been used- they are 14 bucks on Amazon. Only place you put oil is in the compressor- empty it & re-service it per FSM with PAG or Ester oil... Your local auto parts store should be able to tell you exactly which oil is for your car with R134a. The oil circulates around the system via the compressor, which is why you had it in the filter/drier.

You NEED to run AC system solvent thru the lines with everything disconnected, then purge them with compressed air or nitrogen before putting the system back together. Also, you need to use new o-rings everywhere you disconnect... O-ring kits are like 3 bucks.

Also, YES, you need an additional compressor fan- the system will not run correctly without one. You can either wire one of your electrics as the compressor fan, or run a 3rd fan. I vote for 3rd fan- you can use a small pusher in front of the condenser, or between the condenser & radiator if there is room.

If you are doing your AC, you can't just throw it together and expect it to last... Do it right, and only have to do it once. The key to a good, cold AC system is clena oil and no leaks. The only way to ensure both is to clean out the lines, change the compressor oil & use fresh o-rings at every connection in the system.

The electric fan plug on the dohc ac has 2 pins and the one on my dohc has 4 I believe I'm looking at the right one. It's right by the plug for the pressure switch. And the dohc has a spade on it like there was a extra wire to it but I only have one plug to snap in my compressor.

The compressor only has one plug.

As far as your other issue with the fan switch, check how many wires go to the connector, not how many pins. You may end up having to hardwire it if the body harness is different.

ac is on

OK the compressor was just one wire and I had the pigtail to switch.. the dry tube had a plug in the harness already and so did the ac fan so it turns on automatically when i turn the ac on.. I'm wondering if I can tap that power switch to my radiator fan control so they turn on when the ac does too..anywho i got the ac cold but when i turn the blower to #4 the ac light turn off and it blows warm air.. but on 1-3 its cold and works fine.. it's hot here and I need 4.. any suggestions?
