Coupe, Or Fastback?

 

fastback... same shit happens on mine... i need to know how its getting in!!!

same shit here i think its coming in from bad weather seals on the fastback but i dont know how to replace them or even where i can get them from

 

I know where it is, if you have the factory wing, there are 6 big I would say 2 inch holes under it, its simply leaks though that and then into the back into the spare well, same thing happens to me, im getting rid of the wing and replacing it with a wangan wing, that should take care of the problems.

 

or maybe if ur lucky u have a bunch of rust holes under the spoiler allowing water in...

a trait on the fastbacks in certain weather areas

just get it fixed so u dont have the whole bottom of ur trunk rust out.

 

I think my spoiler is rusted pretty bad underneath, when i open the hatch i hear sumthing that sounds liek rust chips hanging in the hatch undercover moving around...

What would i have to do to remove the spoiler and fix the holes if the rust is really bad, i mean i dont want the back of my car to look like ass...

what i would do is remove the spoiler, grind around the holes and grind the rust off, weld up the holes, grind it smooth, then put metal glaze on it, sand it, primer it, and paint it....

i work for a body show and thats how we fill holes on the decklids of civics when a customer crashs his civic and doesn't want to replace the huge aluminum wing

 

OR, u can do what i did, call up some junkyards and see if they have ne 240 hatches that came without a spoiler, prob work out to be a lot cheaper!

i got mine for $100, perfect shape and in my color with no spoiler

 

i dried out everything today with a blowdryer ... than fuckin duck taped everything and anything i thought was necessary ....
