I wouldnt imagine that it wouldn't be that much, compressor/condenser/etc.., the advantage you would get would be the free-er revving engine cause you wouldnt have to deal with running another accessory item on the serpentine belt. I think your heat will still work. Hope it helps though

 

yes heat will still work. and you will notice that you can get up to top speed quicker. i took mine out the other day and its great. but i feel sorry for you if you ever want to put it back in.

 

no i dont plan on putting it back in. 240 is gonna be secondary vehicle.

Where do you live where you can get by w/o a/c? Here in Tx its a must-have item...espically if it already works in your car!

 

man people in houston would kill for an ac... i love mine and being here there is no shortage of ac weather. only way i would drop the weight of my car is less gas or to get on a diet

 

i run no AC every day here in SOCAL
it is starting to get pretty hot too.


p.s. my whole AC system is out. i have nothing left, not even the control unit with the buttons.

 

i'm keeping mine when i put the rb in.. no way i'm going to the convention in august without a a/c.. 16 hour trip.. no a/c.. and then get there and be on the strip and such.. arg, yeah right.

 

the ac compressor is heavy as hell all my stuff is gone every pound counts with 4 cylinders. Also when deleting the ac I used the ac fan and hard wired it to my radiator so I wouldn't have to put that big bulky fan back on my water pump. So by deleting the ac you save weight, crank can spin easier, you get a electric fan and you get to lose that big pos in front of the motor.

 

i live in ny so i can get away with no ac for most of the time. if it does get too hot i'll be on my new zx-10 or driving mommy's Lexus :dancingco

 

anyone got a compressor they would like to sell just pm me with the price I cracked mine installing my redtop this weekend and now need another one

I broke 3 trannies they suck the sti trannies are the bomb though. I'll sell you the compressor for $50.00 shipped. I think the shipping will be expensive because that bastard is so heavy.
