are all three generations of the rx7 front engine rear drive cars?
Wow I never thought of it that way:deasymmkay240sx said:TECHNICALLY, they are MR(engine is behind the front wheels, hence why all generations + RX8 have nearly perfect weight distribution...)
1st gens make excellent drift cars. The ass end a bit more slide happy, and it doesn't have "snap-back" effects of the 2nd gen (makes regaining traction VERY uncomfortable)jdizzy204 said:much appreciated fellas cuz im lookin 2 get a 1st gen rx7.projekt "uneek drifter" :thumbsup
Errr, no one is disputing this....esco said:thier's only 3 generations of rx7 >_<
but rx7's aren't the only cars in the RX series.
lets put it this way: THE ENTIRE RX-SERIES IS POWERED BY A ROTARY
Not difficult.jdizzy204 said:i just hope i can find one in decent condition.does anyone know how difficult it would be to drop a second gen. 13b into the first gen shell?
Oh, don't mind esco, he PMS' a lot. Just like other guys here. It's perfectly natural. :gaylaugheasymmkay240sx said:Errr, no one is disputing this....
Why the outburst? =-/
I'm not disputing either just putting out a quick fact thats all. It's hard enough to judge someone by what thier typing on the net, it's impossible to do it when you don't even know them.easymmkay240sx said:Errr, no one is disputing this....

You need to speak to neo, he's owned fc's before :supercooljdizzy204 said:mmkay guys. i just talked to a guy about an 85 rx7. he lives in anniston, alabama and sounds like a real nice guy.the car is a goldish/brownish color, body in good condition,a little paint fadage. he says that there is a problem with the master cylinder and it needs to be replaced. it has under 100k miles (supposedly),5 spd, problems with front and rear windshield wipers and one of the seats has a tear in it. :eek4:
phew....does 975 sound like a good price(this is what he is asking),if not how much should i offer? :supercool
HA! You'll go through a shitload of rebuilds if you get a rotary. I'd love to get a TII and make it my DD. :thumbsupreccakun08 said:I WANT AN FC but im scared about the reliability ... dont want to have to go through a rebuild

Cheaper insurance, and cheaper to buy. :thumbsup
It is true. A lot of rotary owners do go through a lot of rebuilds. Plus, many of these owners don't even bother trying to learn about it. It's not like your basic Honda B18C5 or your Chevy 350.esco said:Not true :nono
A rotary from a reputable shop and if the owner knows hot to take care of it and maintain it, it will last you quite a while actually. N/A rotaries last forever btw.
