It will fail.
Anywho, Nissan will service them free of charge, they have a lifetime warrenty.

 

I just took my car to Nissan, they are ordering the parts to fix my seat belts as we speak!

 

If you are going to race, you might try installing the apropriate safety equipment. Just a thought.

 

I just turned it back using a hex key and unplugged ti so it will stay. All I need is for it to go back, so I can buckle it.

I'm still not sure where 4-point harnesses will fit into the equation, but I have a feeling it will be fairly soon. Will harnesses fit thru the hole in the OEM seats? Or do I need to get seats with the slots in them?

 

i fyou get harneses get buckets or real seats. i think there might be a fuse for teh auto belts...could check that. also i was told that the silvery box under the center cousel controll the auto belts. might want to check the connections.

 

hmm, i was thinking about switching to s14 belts.. but if nissan'll replace my shit for free when it burns out... i'm gonna go fry my motors

as for harnesses... you can use them with your stock seats no problem. in fact, if the option is between your stock seats (seat, really. why would you be racing with a passenger?) or a cheap noname racing seat, stick with the stocker.... cheap seats are poorly made and could give way and kill you in a crash. just sayin'.

also, if you get a racing harness without a cage, you WILL DIE if you roll it. food for thought.
