is there a clutch neutral saftey switch? if not that could be the problem if so it still could be the problem im pretty sure you can try to by pass it

 

are you talking about the button that when u push the clutch in to start car? yea the clutch has that but there is no plug to plug into it!!! since its an automatic before!!!!! thats why you do the bypass in the enginebay if thats what your talking about its already done but still wont start.. idk..

 

The automatics have a separate fusebox interface. You need to run the jumper on the top plug as that is the safety switch. The other 3 are for the automatic interface. Let me know if you need any of the oem plus or the jumper. The jumper is what will allow the car to start.

yea i have the three plugs empty on the side of fuse box.. where do those supposed to come from? and yes the plug under those three is already plugged and jumpered is what i been saying,,,

 

also idk why its like im not getting power to the starter idk if that.. but when i put key to 3rd possition the tach lightsdont light up or nothing... my headlights turn on so ik im getting some power but idk.. everything is connected,,

 

Hey just to make sure what you have as well as what is wired. shoot me a few pics of both sides of the fusebox. chris@wiringspecialties.com It is hard to see what the bottom connector your hand is on is connected to. You made the jumper on the fuse box side and not the harness correct?

 

ok also the wirring harness on the inside was cut so i connected it as much as icould b4 i got to a few wires that were the exact same, black wires, red and yellow.. so idk if you know which way they go or if i should buy a whole new inner body harness... but that shouldnt be the reasson why im not getting anything on the tach when i turn the key..

update** everything in wirring is supposedly done and hooked right!! when key is in 3rd possition all the lights on tach now come on, and you can hear the fuel pump running like it should b4 start.. but wont turn on still idk?!!?!????????????!!?!?!?!? why wont start

 

Which issue are you having?




When you say it is not starting, is the starter engaging and the motor wont start or is nothing happening when you put the key to the start position? This makes a big difference in what advice to give. Let us know which it is, Thanks and good luck.

If you are sure it is getting power, Try tapping the solenoid housing and try restarting it. How old is the starter?

 

ive done that the starter is the original that came on the sr20... it was good and working tho .. idk
