205/50/15? that's what size my miata wants....lol

there is not "best" drift tire.
you have to figure out what works best for you.

your best bet would be to figure out what tire sizes people are using on stock wheels, and go from there.

i was just wondering cause some guy said he got new tires and they sucked, and he almost crashed w/ them, and then he bought what he was originally using, and said he wrecked shop. i was curious on how tires can make that big of a difference? i didnt think they could

different tire compounds react to burning out differently, and thats all drifting is, is doing a burn out while moving in a direction. And how different your setup is may require different type of tire. so to say there is more then 1 tire that is good for drifting.

buy a set of nice tires for the front and when your getting the nice tires mounted, ask the shop where there junk pile is and just rummage through it and pick out two tires with fair tread and no nails or dry rotting and get those mounted on the rear...(tell them you just need them mounted because you have a shop car that needs to be wheeled around the shop and you wont be driving on them at all...they should have no objections then)

Over the last 3 years I have decided that either

A. Falken ST115
or
B. Federal 595

The Federals are cheaper and more grippy.
I'm pretty sure I won't change tire brands from now on unless I get them free by somebody else.
