the lsd was an option on the 240's and it was just a vlsd which by now is probably all warn out on the inside. and tein he's are nice but are a little stiff but if you want your car to be a drifter and not drag or circuit then the teins would be great cuz thats their main purpouse is drifting. and you dont need a shit load of camber to drift.

the ultimate question is do you have the $$$
if you dont, stop talking and start working.
if you want drift... ur gonna have to spend a lot on suspension.
if you want drag... ur gonna have to spend a lot of money on engine work.

for me money isn't that big of an issue, I've been working since I was 14 years old, and I'm also getting around 9 grand this summer alone. the reason y I havn't got anything yet is because I got my licience suspended when I was 16 over some bs that wasn't even my fault.

Right now, if you get into a 500hp car, will you be able to drift it? No. If you got into a bone stock ka 240, would you be able to drift it? No! Learn first on a stock car, and then when you feel secure with that begin to upgrade. If you are focused on drifting, suspension first. You can very well ry to start out with a higher horspower car, but even though i can't speak of much experience, i will guarantee it will be harder to learn on a fast turbo car than a ka24. To answer your one question, can a drift car be fast, I'd have to say yes. Look at the pros in japan, there are a number of them drifting cars with 500+ hp, and i guarantee that they're pretty fucking fast.

Also, look at old threads and search stuff, you'll find that nearly everythign has been discussed already.

Yeah stick with the KA for a long while. I thought I would have to trash it when I got my car but its been doing fine, enough power for now. I have been reaching its limits now that my skills have been improving, Im going alot faster now, so maybe its time to upgrade to SR soon, but for you, just stick with the KA, you'll know when you reach its limits and have to upgrade.

The picture in my sig is me drifting with my stock KA and as you can see it makes enough power to smoke up the tires.

you cant say a 240 is a 180 because only the fastbacks have 180 styling and the coups are sil-80s. and screw the sr and rebuild your suspension and get an lsd. with both of those your car should slide nice then when you need the extra horse power get the sr. engine should be the last thing on your mind when it comes to drifting. also upgrade you brakes along with the suspension.
What? You the fastbacks are 180sx's because it used to have the CA18DET hence 180.

The coupe is PS13 which is part of the Silvia family. The 180sx is a great brother in law to drink beers with.

The sil 80 is when you take a 180sx and put silvia projects on it (Sil)via +1(80)sx = Sil80.

Almost had it but not quite right.

S13 is the zenki silvia with the CA18DE or DET
PS13 is the kouki silvia with the SR20DE or DET
RS13 is the zenki 180sx with the CA18DET (They were all turbocharged)
RPS13 is the chuuki and kouki 180sx with the SR20DET(all came turbocharged except for the kouki type-s). BTW the Kouki ones have those round tailights that everybody likes.

Onevia- silvia with the 180sx front(pretty much the same as the 240sx coupe)
Sileighty- 180sx with a silvia front end. This conversion came along because when people use to crash their 180sx's they found that it was cheaper to purchase silvia parts instead. Because of the popularity the sileighty became available for purchase from dealerships near the end of whole s13 era.

yep ^

I was bout' to say the same thing... "RPS13 is the chuuki and kouki 180sx with the SR20DET(all came turbocharged except for the kouki type-s). BTW the Kouki ones have those round tailights that everybody likes." ...

the older 180s had CA18s but the newer 180s got the SR
