lol no actually this is the second day we've worked on it (started sunday morning) and it will be finished by thursday... no exceptions. We've run into a few hiccups (such as broken stud and other basic issues that really stop things from progressing, like a wrong fitting for a SS oil line etc). We are taking it slow bc there are other priorities that I have right now so i can't work it full time. as for unbolting the oil pan, i actually unbolted it before i jacked up the motor, and then i had to get 2x4's bc my hydralic jack wouldn't go high enough.

Tonight I got the manifold off and looked at the broken stud in the head. Tried drilling it out and then using a easy out to get it out but no avail. the pilot hole was just a scosh off center and it bound up while trying to get it out. Friend/mechanic is coming over tomorrow with a air powered dremel to dig it out. in the tighening procedure it would be bolt 8 (closest one to the front and on the bottom).

Also got the fuel system out (stock fpr, fuel rail, and injectors) and that shitty ass brass bracket that sorts all the lines out. Instead I'm going to run single vaccum lines to w/e is on top there (ill take a pic later). Its going to clean things up quite nicely...

Anyone know how to remove a EGR w/o taking off the intake manifold? because holy shit that fucker is hard to reach.
oh ok, so how long do you figure it'd take to do with (and like this would EVER happen) no hicups and full-time just working the shat out of it?

PS: My exact same manifold stud it broken off on my car. Lemme know how it goes cuz I'll be trying the EZOuts myself soon.

yeah got the EGR stuff out today and instead of a block plate on the EGR mount, I took the mount off and am getting a CNC machined plate to go in place of the mount... Not a big deal but cleans it up even that much more.

lol s15drift king :p, estimated time for the 57s are tomorrow so we will find out.

also working on the fuel rail, fpr and injectors today making sure it gets hooked up.

got the FPR mounted but the injectors need proper clips from MSD so i ordered those and they should be in thursday, the day i should be done now. the rail was missing a mounting washer so i'll go tomorrow to NAPA and get that if they have it.

Got the oil feed line done tonight but I'm kinda at a standstill, I have 3 major components to this build... Oil, Fuel, and Exhaust, each are being held up by one or 2 damn small things (Oil = waiting on a last 90 degree fitting, Fuel = waiting on the clips and the lil washer grommett thing, exhaust = waiting on that #$%^&* exhaust stud). So tomorrow's agenda is bribe the family mechanic to come over (he had his off day today), put on the new wheels and tires (props to s15driftking), get fried pig and put the oil pan back on, and depending on when the exhaust stud gets redone I may be able to mount the turbo and the exhaust and finish up the intake piping (last small piece of piping that connects to the turbo)

ugh

where are you sourcing the stud from? I was told an Altima head stud would work (I think it was an altima :S)

its not a head stud... its an exhaust stud that comes out from the head around the exhaust port and you tighten down a nut on it to secure the header/manifold on it. I'm just replacing it with a stock one. I was very glad to see that my bottom end was beautiful. Everything in pristine golden condition. Thats one thing thats scared me through this entire build is the fact that I never got a compression test done.

yah yah, that's what I meant but it was 3am when I wrote it.

tomorrow will be a long ass day if we want to get things done (if we finish the oil today, get the oil pan back on and get the EGR block off plate back, tomorrow we will need to: mount rail and injectors, put in the fuel lines, mount manifold, mount the turbo and downpipe, connect o2 sensors, finish up the IC piping with the last piece)

I'm still jealous that you are already on assembly and I haven't even had my first part arrive yet

ahahahah I'm like a kid on christmas... you open your present and have to wait til the next day to play with it LOL. 255's fit up front!!!!!! lol space is about 3 mm but they damn well fit past the coilovers. rear tread is hell (only like 15% left max) but they are so damn sexy, i have a huge new appreciation for flushness :) lol i have to look twice now at my car before i leave the garage bc i can't believe it looks so beautiful. :D and all i need now is to rull the fenders (no pull needed :))

S15Driftking is a great guy with some great wheels.

Pics to be up very soon.
