Hello
I have a 1992 s13 dohc I have this problem when the idle surges sometimes from like 1.3k to almost stalling sometimes it does. Drives fine but idles bad once warm. Would it be a Iacv I bought a new one but the plugs are different and I can’t seem to find one with the correct plugs. Also heard of people just blocking it off completely and it being fine. Please help me.

One way to check if your maf is bad is unplug it. your car should run a default fuel map at idle and run. If your rev it pass 2000rpm the car should turn off.

Your idle might need to be reset. You could try this:
Make sure your car is warmed up before doing this. Car off unplug your throttle postion sensor both connectors . Turn your ivac all the when in and then open a turn or so . Start the car. Then you need to set your throttle body to 650rpm without the tps plugged in. (small flat head screw with nut...Adjusts the throttle blade.) Turn off car and plug tps back in. Start the car again. the rpms should go up 50ish to 700. Make sure your Tps is adjusted between .45 to .55volts during Idle. I'd aim for around .50
