what could they do if you did do that though?
Not a whole lot other then asking you to leave. It takes a little more than that to offend a police officer. If you were to lay your hands on one though, that's a different story...

That video is fake but still great. I collect Police videos and have a ton, but if you ever find anymore please always post them up!!

lol its fake but funny. Yeah as adam said.... you have to actually touch an officer before you can get in trouble... then it could be put up as far as assault and battery (correct me if i'm wrong)... lol still it does look like he got hit with that night stick at one point in the vid... and night sticks hurt like hell (not as much as an Asp though)
Haha yeah night sticks definitely hurt, but Asp's are worse! That's why they've been banned by alot of Police agencies....

You seem to know a lot on the subject mrbojambles. :gaylaugh

lol yeah... but then again all aspects of the law fascinate me. Thinking bout becoming a lawyer..... lol

And yes i've been hit with both nightsticks and asps.... mostly because of the 4 different kinds of martial arts i've taken over the years.... part of one of the courses involved unarmed defense against battery w/ a weapon... and trust me, blocking a night stick with a forearm prolly worse than actually taking a hit from it(lol i was a dumbass and tried that when the instructor asked if any of us would like to demonstrate how we think defending ourselves would be..... just remember. Nightstick + large instructor + forearm = broken arm lol). . Asps are even harder to deal with (spent 2 months getting beaten with them learning how to defend and take down the attacker). So yeah i think i have permanent bruises from where i've been hit repeatedly..... But its pretty much the same concept on both weapons. block/deflect the first hit while taking a step inward and move inside the range of effectiveness of the weapon... the main part is that first hit... most asps only take one hit to bring a person to their knees. Gotta know how to avoid the striking point and deflect the blow....

yeah i talk way too much

that's why you dont block it with your forearm. the way i been taught is that you use your forearm to block their wrist (you gotta get in close fast), and at that point you can use the momentum of the swinging night stick to throw the attacker to the ground or you can just grab a hold of their wrist and hit em a few times, it's all gravy, if you react fast enough lol.

actually thats not true, for flicking off a officer, that is a threat. i learned this in gov.

i dont know why but they can hurt you if you try to pull something like that.

Yep... point of my entire post.... this was before we learned it though... he just wanted a sucker to demonstrate on/hurt lol. Asps are another story though.... you really have to block the hit before the asp itself extends out from its collapsed position... thats what makes the asp so incredibly painful is the velocity developed from the centripitetal force (Ap physics actually came in handy)... I used to use the side of my shin to dummy block just above the part on the asp with the lil small metal ball... and let your let hang loose... but thats def not advised unless you have high pain tolerance... My instructor showed us if possible... if you see them grab the asp and start to move that hand... just deal a body blow immediately..... lol My instructor was more of hit first, questions later.

Believe me man, I know about this stuff lol

Technically speaking, giving the finger obviously means "fuck you." So giving the finger to someone means "I'm going to fuck you." Could it be considered a threat? Possibly. But the real threat to an officer would be when the subject lays a hand on them - then it's on. If an officer were to beat a subject like that for just recieving the finger he or she would get into some serious trouble. Police officers are trained to not take that dumb crap personally. If they did then society would be out of control.

ya i guess you would know mr. officer lol

ok ill take your word for it;)
Haha. I wasn't trying to prove you wrong or anything, because technically you are partially correct. Giving the finger could be considered a threat, but 99 of 100 officers will most likely let is slide and not do anything about it, just like how Police Officers generally don't pull people over for doing 56 in a 55, when technically it's still speeding ;)

haha its all good.

ya cops kinda let alot slide, it seems like they dont pay atention to much, well some of the ones down here that is.

some cops are really cool, i got a warning for offraoding in my step moms jeep down here the other day for reckless driving, i think it would kinda be a fun job, just driving around all day, but then it would suck when people are shooting at you and shit, plus for the frst couple of years you probably get bitch work.

Yeah, well there's a lot more to the job then driving around all day, but sometimes it can obviously get slow lol. Most of the bitch work is done on overtime hours over here, I don't know how San Diego does it though. When I say "bitch work" I refer to sitting on the side of the road on the highway near construction or hanging out at the local movie theater on a Friday or Saturday night, stuff like that....

more simple questions:

Are tazers fun?

What about stunguns?

Whats the secret to minimizing pepper spray's effects?

Can a unmarked police vehicle pull you over for traffic violations?

Can you get a ticket from another cop if you are speeding or run a redlight with out your lights on?

Do you give a ticket to someone that rear ends or is responsible for any accident with your cruiser?

Q: Are tazers fun?
A: Only to shoot, never to get shot by one.

Q: What about stunguns?
A: See above answer.

Q: Whats the secret to minimizing pepper spray's effects?
A: With my experience there is no secret, after being sprayed the only thing you can really do is wait it out and wash your eyes out with water as much as possible.

Q: Can a unmarked police vehicle pull you over for traffic violations?
A: Absolutely.

Q: Can you get a ticket from another cop if you are speeding or run a redlight with out your lights on?
A: Haha interesting question. I guess technically yes, but the chances of one cop doing that to another is slim to be honest. When it comes down to it though, they shouldn't be running red lights or excessively speeding without a reason.

Q: Do you give a ticket to someone that rear ends or is responsible for any accident with your cruiser?
A: If someone were to rear end my car, yes I would issue them a ticket - wouldn't you?! lol

Lol what kind of ticket would it be? Reckless driving? And i asked the unmarked police car question simply because the other day on the highway i started to pass a unmarked police car and i was doing about 105 he was prolly doing 100 w/ lights off... when i looked over he just smiled but i was in the middle of trying tobreath bc i thought i was royally screwed... Just curious if he would have been able to pull me over for that.

I have to think of some more questions now lol.

Um...

Does a police officer have to use radar/laser to issue a ticket or would pacing the other car be sufficient (relevant to my scare)?

Is the donut stereotype true?

What is the legal speed in a unmarked parking lot (got in trouble for going 15 when the officer said the max i should go is 5... i was like yeah w/e as a truck sped by doing atleast 35-40)

Are you scared that when your walking up to a car you have just pulled over that it may be the "last time"?

How much HP does a cruiser have and whats the avg max speed of one?

What's the strangest thing you've ever had to report to (situation youve been in)?

Thats all for now.

hahaha. nice video, old but still good.

Jewell, ive got a follow up question about being pulled over by unmarked cop cars. do they actually have some hidden red/blue lights? or just thoes side mounded flash lights? ive had a few experiences where people who are driving ex-cop cars try to pull me over or somnething by just flashing thoes white lights at me. my friend actually pulled over for one of these people and it turned out to be some guy trying to jack him.

also, i know the laws in Delaware might be a little different from the laws here, but, when a cop asks you to pop your hood, can you refuse? i know a few people that say they have refused, but then i always hear other people say that you cant refuse. so whats the real story?
