it depends on the hatch you see alot that people have trashed and they just look like shit...i prefer the look of a coupe. all my enblams are shaved and i love having people ask me what the fuck it is cause all there is is the silvia enblam on the hood and thats it...i think they all should be shaved

The hatch has better weight distrubution but the coupe is lighter and very likely a bit stiffer in the rear. I'd go with a coupe for drifting (easier to spin rear tires) and a hatch for a DD or anything else.

The coupe looks better IMO, but the hatch is much more functional. I like stereos (and subwoofers ) and the hatch is better suited to my application. I have carried around a full set of tires and on a seperate occasion two front S13 fenders and 2 12" subwoofers in a box in the rear of a hatch. The hatch can also fit a 20" bicycle where as the coupe would have no chance of fitting a bike.


Function before form. That's been the #1 rule of all of my vehicles. Coupes are nice but the hatch is more functional for my use as a daily driver.

If I had to choose between the hatch or the coupe, i would go coupe simply because its lighter, looks better (well at least for my taste), althought the s13 coupe seems to have alot of understeer when it comes to drifting, but its nothing you cant handle, just pull that e brake to adjust, oh and yea i own one so its the best of all the 240s HA!!!!

I have a coupe and I honestly like it much better than the hatches I've been around... I prefer the style over the hatch, regardless of trunk size difference. But, that's just one man's opinion.
