I would go to the junkyard and find a good one. I have gotten two of then for $25 each. Or you could go buy a dashboard repair kit at autozone.

dash cracks are caused by a number of things:
Cig. smoke
UV rays
heat
covering the dash and cracking the window will help, but at some point or another the dash will crack due to the sun breaking down the plastic.

the s13 dashes crack all the time...i think it has to do with the type of plastic and i also believe that they will crack reguardless of what you do as long as you keep it out of the sun alot. the S14 dashes i have never seen crack so i think they fixed the problem. you could always get a upolster shop put on a new layer of _____ for you.

you guys ever treat it with armor all or black magic?
i think that kinda stuff will keep it from dryin out
I would like to dissagree with that. I didnt use any kind of cleaner on the dash for the first couple of months I had my car and I dont know if the guy before me did but there were no cracks in the whole dash it was perfect. Then I used some armor all and the next day one huge crack right threw the middle of the dash. I was pissed. Havnt used armor all since and no other cracks have been there. Just my .02

umm...did u know this.... porsche use to give armor-all to all its cars untill it found out that it cause its dashes to crack.... at least that what i heard.... i don't use that armor all shit at all.. ITS SHIT. I just use leather conditioner (forgot the brand), i go to harley davidson (spl) store cause from my experience, those people carry the best detailing products. Just my .02 cents. plus my dash hasent cracked yet...only a little rip...but that was when i forced my dash out during some R&R.

Anything with a silicone base will crack any porous material, eg...dashs, tires, bumpers, ect.

It will do so because it doesnt allow the material to "breathe" so it gets dry & cracks as a result.

The best thing I have ever used is Lemon scented furniture polish. It smells good & works great. Lasts for a while. I like to get the cheap stuff at the dollar store. it's the same as stuff like Endust, ect.

You clean your car though right? Before you detail it? Or do you just keep applying it over & over. That is the main reason for the cracking. People just keep putting it on, without even wiping the dash first.
I'm sure you dont keep your tires for 4-5 years. That is why it isnt noticable. It takes awhile for it to happen( 1-2 maybe more depending on the upkeep). Sun helps it along faster.
If i'm not mistaken Wesley's stopped using silicon bases for their detailing products. I havent used BM in quite a few years. I used to use it on tires, but there are so many better, less messy products out now.
