How To Install Coilover on S13

This Installation was peformed with Megan coilovers.
i'm pretty sure it's same for all the other brands too.
It should take about an Hour or 2)

I Actualy did it with 2 emgency jacks(Not very safe-.-.. and it'll
take u lot longer and more work)

**Tip**

If bolts aren't coming out easily use ur foot to push the Ratchet/Wrench

Tools Requried

1 Regualr Jack, (Or another Emergency jack-.- ,either way as long as you
could jack up ur car)
1 Emergency Jack
1 Flathead
2 17inch Wrench(with Combination Proswing or u could use Ratchet with 17inch socket),
1 12inch Wrench(With Combination Proswing, or u could use ratchet with 12inch socket.),
1 14inch Wrench (with Combination Proswing or u could use 14inch socket with ratchet)
1 Jack stand (If u don't have it use ur wheels -.-)

Step 1 Rears

Make Sure the Vehicle is parked At a flat surface. With Ebrake

Jack up Rear Passenger Side

Put the jackstand(or ur wheel) -.-;

Remove the Wheels

Unbolt 17inch Nut by the bottom of the strut

Remove the 2 12inch nut on the top of the strut

Pull out the Strut/Spring

Match up ur Stock Strut/Spring with One of ur coilover

(Rear would be the one with out the Clip for Brakeline)

Remove 2 bolts that's Attached to the coilover

(My Megan coilover Came with 2 new bolts)

Slide in the bottom part of coilover first, Install the nut but don't tighten it.

Use the Emergency Jack to Jack up the Rear Arm to Align the Top part

of the coilover, when it's align slide it in and bolt down 2 12inch .

Tighten up the bottom coilover bolt.

Put the wheels back on, and u are done.

Repeat same procedure for the rear driver side.

Step 2 Fronts

Passenger side front.

Jack on the front right by the door pillar

jack it up little bit but not all the way, and remove the lugnuts for the wheels

Put the Jackstand (or ur wheel -.-;)

Remove the clip that is holding the brakeline (Use Flathead to Push it out)

Remove 2 lugs (17inch) U need 2 17inch wrench.

that is holding the bottom part of the strut

Remove 3 14inch bolts that's holding the top part of the strut

Remove ur struts/springs

Match up your stock struts/springs to ur coilover

Remove 3 14inch bolts that comes with the coilover

Bolt in 2 17inch bolts on the bottom of the coilover first.

By Using the emergency jack , jack up the arms and align the

top 3 bolts of the coilover

Tighten up the 3 14inch bolts.

Make sure to attach brakeline back to the struts and also reinstall the

brakeline clip

slide in to the hole and tighted up 3 14inch bolts

Put the wheels back on.

Repeat the same procedure for driverside front.

Take it to alignment shop and get aligned and you are good to go.

heres a tip to make it easier.. remove both rears first so the sway bar isnt going to put tention on the opposite when u jack one side up for it to fit..

do this for both front and rear.. remove both and then install both ..then go through and fully tighten the bots after there both installed.. it made it alot easier for me.

i didnt remove both on the front and it made the passenger side a bitch to get off since the sway bar was puttin tention on the other side...

just some advice i got from installing mine
