watching my boost gauge, hit hits 9-10 psi then almost immeditly falls to 5-7psi. i was talking to carl, he said its probably due to the stock rb20 turbo elbow... which makes sense.. putting it on i noticed the flat spot where the waste gate opens to. but have any of you seen or used this

seems alright for the price, but you think it will solve this problem, and it says the elbow is 3 inches in diameter.. but i dunno it doesnt look it to me:12dunno

dont get it, look at the bottom left hole on that elbow. it looks really close to the weld doesnt it. well, it did in the pic of the sr one i got, and when i got it, the one i got happened to not have any room in the between the bolt hole and the weld for the bolt to clamp to. i immediately bought a megan. the whole construction of the elbow was very poor and you cant return it.

OMFG, it wont fit on my RB powered 240sx.
Do you see that lil pipe for the wastegate on top of the elbow? thats the problem. the OEM one fits on there with about 2mm clearence to the steering rack, but on the ssautochrome one, the upgraded piping is what is causing the fitment problem. Although my friend who is helping me doing my swap is saying that it will fit on it just fine. It's 10.22pm here in socal and ill have to wait till tomorrow to find out for sure wether it fits or not.

yep on a customer's rb20 s13 car they had that thing on there. The little tube is so crushed now thanks to the steering rack. Really a PITA. but it's on there and car runs awesome. Just that tube is crushed in a little bit.

I emailed ssautochrome about that elbow a while ago and asked him if it would fit on my 240SX (obviously lfd, otherwise I'd have called it something else). He replied something like 'yes our turbo elbow fits the rb20det'. After searching a little more I found out it didn't. He's just a scammer if you ask me.

The only problem there is is the little pipe that come off the internal wastegate. I just sent my elbow to the machine shop and have them cut the little pipe off, weld a straight pipe onto it which is facing a different direction in order to avoid fitment issue with my steering rack, then just seal the hole on the buttom. There is 1 on eBay for sale from auz that look exactly the same as what i just mentioned. That way you have a elbow thats guarrenty to clear ur steering rack, with ur wastegate blowing to the air.
