i have a 95 240sx. i get awful static in my front speakers but never in the rear. the problem comes and goes, i notice it happens alot when it rains or i wash my car. i replaced the harness thats coming out of my head unit which connects to the harness on the car. i crimped the wires and it was all done correctly. it worked great, crystal clear for the first week than the static came back. what should i do next? test the front speaker wires both pass n driver side coming from the harness on the car?

The harness is between the door and the body, check in the harness area between there for cracks in the rubber conduit. probably splashing up from your wheels and getting to where it can drip down the wires to the speaker, your speaker could also just be blown and you notice it more during those times.

Yep, check all of that, and if you're good and everything is keeping the water out like it should, go ahead and check your wiring for your speakers.

Side note, I'd like to thank you for doing proper troubleshooting steps and starting at one end of the wiring and checking from that end to the other rather than jumping around. Makes resolving issues a lot easier.
