I hope you're not going to put some blue ricer bulbs in.
good god gimme some credit here. and whats wrong with the clean bmw look anyway? does that make me a ricer beacause i think that enhances the general appearance of the car? And how much will a HID retrofit cost anyway, im not that that broke. Just to broke for all that body work.

Um.. what do you mean by "clean bmw look"
Are you talking about halogen bulbs that LOOK LIKE HID? Or blue Lighting?
Last time I remember, bmw don't come with blue color headlights. They come with white 4300K HID. The blue/purple you're seeing from those cars are from their HID projectors. It's produced by the cutoff line. You only see it from a distance and when the bmw hits bumps. But behind the driver seat of these cars, the lighting is PURE white.

HID retrofiting will cost around 300-500. Depending on what you buy.
www.hidplanet.com for more information.

Also, how come you mentioned body work?? o_O
Oh yea, HID don't make the car look better. It just makes the performance of your headlight better. SO THE DRIVER CAN SEE BETTER.

I can already tell you're a ricer just by that small simple post. Function over fashion buddy. HID (4300K) is a function. anything above 6000K is a fashion.

wrong again my friend. i do want brighter headlights, so I CAN SEE BETTER, but i also enjoy how they look from the outside perspective. I know how the lights look from the drivers perspective, and i mentioned body work because my other more expensive option would be to do an s15 front end conv which would require a new hood, fenders and headlights.

And you cant tell anything from a single post. I also choose function over fashion, and id appreciate it if you would stop passing your divine judgemnet on me because i asked a simple question. If i recall correctly, i never mentioned anything about blue headlights, so i dont even understand why you brought it up in ther first place.

lol, if he wants to make his car look nice, whats the problem? as long as he's not putting a huge spoiler on it with some dub-deuce spinners and going around talking shit, I wouldnt consider that rice.

As for the headlights, clean em and get some silverstar bulbs for like $35, or drop a stack on these babies:

I actually think the picture is a plastic headlight, but the glass ones look a million times better.

I have no problem with making the car look nice which is why I mentioned cleaning the headlights because a lot of people just look at the faded ones and think they have to buy some new ones. As for the fender trim, if he wants it on his car that's cool, I was merely stating my dislike for the stuff. I would not, however, say anything negative towards the guy for having it. I was merely stating my opinion and since tone can't properly be used in writing a post sometimes things can get misconstrued. I'm sorry if my posts came off as harsh, that was not my intention.

NO, if you want the best H4 bulbs you can buy. Get Raybrig White Sonic 5000k..... I found some on ebay for $65 + shipping. These bulbs are by far the best H4's on the market. Retail is about $100 a pair. Raybrig stickly engineers lights for racing purposes only. The highest K rating they have is 5,000 and I'm sure thats for good reason.

I think this is the link for the $65-

Now if you want good bulbs but a step down, get some PIAA Starlights (3800k) or Extreme (4500k)

I have the PIAA starlights, they are very nice white w/ a slight purplish tinge.

But I'm getting the new raybrigs ASAP!

I have pictures of them I took today just haven't uploaded it all yet. :)
