well actually I went just to chill and give my frans a hand and this dude with an fc rx7 took pity on my situation and pretty much let me rock his car for the second half of the day. Never met the dude in my life before, it was pretty awsome.


fucker had a turbo the size of my head, to bad the car was poorly setup for drifting. and an fc..

I havn't confirmed it yet but I am guessing they didn't set the valves right

i didn't fuck with the rings so thats the only answer..

gonna do a leakdown test to confirm tomorrow

Man this is pure motivation, I have a coupe but she is my daily. SOOOOO this thread has convinced me to save up for a hatch, it will be my first drift build and this thread has given me tons of good advice and ideas on what i want to do to her once i get it. GL on the motor, hope you get it runnin right soon, cant wait to see some pics of it in action!

fuck it can't find a leakdown tester anywere without special ordering it. gonna pull the head and hope its the valves. thers almost no chance that the rings magically lost compression, I didn't touch them or remove anything from the bottom end.

and if it is the rings then I am fucked anyways since I can't afford a full rebuild right now
