the e-manage is fairly easy to use if you already have a good understanding of tuning like knowing how to tune for open/closed loop, knowing how to read lamda and adjust for fuel and timing such as for every pound of boost retarding timing 1 1/2 - 2 degrees, knowing when to clamp voltage if needed and switching to your map...
if your already lost and not fully understanding what Im talking about then you need to let a tuner tune your car or research and study up on this alot more, I know a decent amount about tuning and Im still not brave enough to do it myself

both of these are really good book to help you get a better understanding of tuning
