Is this driveable?

So my brother bought the 240sx yesterday. It is being picked up Wednesday from Indianapolis, and going to be driven to Chicago. Does anyone think it'd be possible to do this if the radiator is leaking and the power steering is out?

Could I simply just buy coolant, and strain my arms while driving it back 100miles?

yea, just do the water deal. And if there is ANYTHING you can do to at least slow the leak, even if its for a couple bucks, do that. Better to spend 5 or 10 on prevention, rather than having the thing overheat.

as far as the power steering thing goes you will be fine... and you'll have some schwartzenager arms when your done, ha (its not as bad as some people make it out to be, I swear)

after driving a 93 d21 pickup with no power steering, and driving a 240sx with a blown pump, youll be fine with steering as you pickup speed it will get easier. not having power steering really isnt bad

as for your radiator watch your temp gauge, i had a leak on the top of my radiator that kept my cooling system from holding pressure, without the pressure the coolant would just boil, even with the temp gauge in the middle of cold - hot, so id be driving around, steam coming out and not over heating, but eventuallt the water would boil out , none the less keep water in it and youll be fine, also if your driving on the expressway that should cool things down more. if you can drop some bars stop leak in, ive heard mixed stories about it, being that this stuff will stop a leak, but then down the road people find their water pumps break....... id also ride with the windows down any the heat turned on full blast, that will keep things cooler.

one more thing that car is a nissan , you cant kill it, after i bought my sr20det i drove my ka to death, running with maybe 1 quart of oil and an empty radiator riding around in the H all day long, through the city, then when it finally did die i felt as if i killed something strong and beautiful

hmmm, power steering pumps get REALLY hot when they fail, and with a motor running hot, i would jump to your local junkyard, grab a P/S pump, and replace it before you drive it home. it will take like 10 minutes.

and about the radiator, where is it leaking? from the rad itself? or a hose? find out, because you can replace a radiator with ease as well. bot will only take a few minutes. shit, its like 4 screws on the rad, lol

if you're driving in a straight line, or at any type of speed, you probably wont even notice that it doesnt have power steering...
