hey loofee, im always lookin for somen II do on th weekends... and unless bryant *finally* decides hes gonna show me his car, iThink im gonna try and meet up with you for a few, wha`re yu gonna be in town for? and when abouts do you prefer calls?
i`ll probably be taking th s14 (along with greg and his) up to lassiter that night, get a comparison on his new clutch vs. my plugs/wires. and then theres always cornering practice with brandon if he ever gets in th mood II show up and exist... speakinma whichs... and this is a tangent so watch out guys:
iFinally have confidence in reacting to stuff that iCan push her all the way up to her limit (at slower speeds, >40-60 depending on peril level) and ive learned iReally like those highway onramps ive been oggling for all this time, now that iFinally get II use them... she breaks away very gently at about 50... gives you *plenty* of time to let off and keep grip. thats in 3rd and 4th btw, and iDont usually go around redlining... all the noise makes me a lot more obvious. which tonight iFigured out wasnt the best thing... speedwise
aright so... iDrop bj off at his apartment, turn left II take grants mill instead of 280 II get II 459. and iGet out there and its just me... and about 2 turns in theres these headlights a ways behind me, not faint, but a normal person wouldn`t katch up II me from this distance so iJus go back about my business...
iShould probably mention the way that iRun grants mill isnt quite th fastest, but its for safety, so gimme a thumbs up for that at least. iEngine brake and turn off the brights before the corners and if theres nobody coming iFloor it and apex the corner, its only failed me once, and a quick swerve saved everybody. it probably wouldve been his fault tho, he was going *faster* than me... and thats in an explorer... So keep in mind im slow before turn in, and fastest at apex and chicanes, or at least thats what iLearned tonight.
so a corner or two later iLook up and the guys almost tailgating me... so iFigure ill speed up a notch, and start usin up a lil more of my safety limit, lil faster in, lil closer to losing grip around the bend. keep in mind at first iThought those were Ford Escape/escort headlights... iDecided otherwise pretty quickly a few corners later...
point in place: The *only* time there was a significant gap btween us (as far as iKnow, iDon`t check my rearview mirror mid corner) was when iWould do the slowing for th corner, specifikly right when iWould start accelerating into it... after that iWouldnt check to see until after the corner was well taken care of, and he was usually closing in on my bumper at that point. iLost him in the chicanes pretty well iThought tho. so uh, if anybodys still readin... iGot in th gas station and figured he`d pull in... a handling guy right? he kept goin and iNever saw him after that... you`d never guess this bit... a paled red (new tho, just an unusual red) STANDARD LANCER
maybe es,... iWas in so much shock iForgot II check anything else... iSaw another one in the same color and all in trussville on th way home, but it was a lady in it, and this guy had a cap on also...
so if anybody reads all that and knows who the guy is, where iCould find him or an equivalent and more importantly to me, why the mess a standard lancer *kept up with an s14 with new tires* on grants mill... and it has to have somethin II do with knowing th course, the bad pavement, and better driving... cause iMay just be a kid, but ill gladly show you in person, my cornering/driving is *not* *!that!* slow...
iNoticed the bumps would make me move laterally, like how understeer pushes you outside plus the tractionless and fishtailing tendency effect of oversteer both in one.
so maybe fwd has some kinda advantage there... or maybe im missing somen...
but iLove the way she takes those chicanes with a little braking and throwing it in to hit the apexes dead on.

oh and iHad my first drift accident today... in gregs s14, he can tell you all about it... heh heh, of course it wouldnt end up being in *my* car... so we`re on old springville, and there was a lot of traffic on the main part, and at that light with the gas station iDecided to turn right towards trussville to find a road, and one of the first turnoffs on the left (we had to stop and turn around) was called big mtn drive... the second corner (first, to some people) was a *long* uphill curve... so iTook it like iDid in my s14 earlier that day on a highway offramp very similar... iGuess those new hp4s on the rear are helpin more than iThought... we ended up right about halfway up when iFelt th rear coming out, and iWasnt about to trust the open differential for a slide at that speed in those conditions, so iLet off and end up letting off too abruptly and gettin more oversteer angle... so iHit th brakes right? and gregs car is all tight compared to mine... you oughta try and work his clutch on the 16th, it has *no* free play, an th friction point is only a cm or 2 from the *floor*, th other pedals arent far behind that one, steering also... which of course is a good thing in a performance car and all... but iDrive an s14 at least 2, and up to 6 times a day that has nyquil`d down power steering, and cumulative *feet* of free play in all th pedals. so obviously iLocked up and we slid right on our angle into some guys half-ditch edge of lawn... first reaction... panic, spin tires in 2nd gear tryin II get out.. maybe 15 seconds later we got out in first... but it wasnt pretty, or quiet... after that we were pretty good tho, and this place has about 2 other big corners like that, big *dangerous* ones, instead of lots of nice easy ones like grants mill or clay palmerdale. hey iGot my first accident out th way, iDidnt hit anything/body, didnt hurt th car at all, and iDont think anybody even saw... so... thats somen II be happy about AND IT MEANS BRANDON CAN STOP WORRYING, cause iHave a habit of my accidents being small run off th road incidents... iNever skrew up badly enough II spin around or hit things... so far... someday somebody`ll likely jump in my lane when im aredy speeding and usin 80% of th traction ive got on accel and cornering... we`ll see
