Hello,
New to this forum. I been trying to make my sons 240sx turn on. I have checked and tested the following.

-fuel pressure/ good 34 psi
-Engine compression/ ok 125 psi on all cylinders.
-spark good on all cylinders.
-New distributor and set to timing following instructions.
-new throttle body sensor. And power to it looks good.
-new spark plugs

every test I’ve done has turned out with good results. What else can keep it from turning on.?

I got fuel, sparks, I figure the new throttle body sensor will make the car produce the air it needs to make the combustion. The last thing I have in mind is the crankshaft position sensor.

any ideas will be appreciated.

thanks

FSM calls for a minimum of 155 psi for compression.

If they are all equal, it may just be your gauge being off?

Verify timing.
Do you have a consult reader?
A shitty coolant temperature sensor will also mess with your car, but I'd first verify the mechanicals (Timing, fuel, air, spark, good compression) and check for any codes through the consult.

Not the exact one I have but they are all very similiar.
I didn't use that software that came with it, I think I used the ECUTalk software (free download) to see what sensors were doing what.
Pair that with the factory service manual and you should be able to get her running

Thanks collegekid,

I actually managed to get it running the issue was the new distributor we put was off timing. Now it runs good. Now We have a new issue and sometimes the car will go like into limp mode for a couple minutes then it will accelerate good and it’s back to normal. So I’m thinking can this cause be a faulty speed sensor?
Thanks
