Just for confirmation, I'll answer my own question. Yes it does fit and the lines up such that the DE belt contacts the first three ribs E pulley. The inner most rib towards the backside of the pulley is not used when the E pulley is on the DE engine. The E pulley is about 1/3 inch larger in diameter than the DE pulley.

 

holy crap my sohc coupe and s14 have the same pulley this would probably explain why my coupe never kept a stable temperature, and blew up:tears

 

^^ Really? Since posting this question, I have found two, maybe three sources of information agreeing with that fact that the E water pump pulley is a little larger and also it is a 4 rib instead of a three rib that the DE has. The difference in diameter could be mistaken for the same size as the E is only about 1/3 to maybe 1/2 inch larger. Was your a three or four rib? It should have been a 4 rib I would think.
