Check all fuses and for loose grounds. Test battery and alternator.

 

started checking the fuses but did not find any blown, need to keep looking for all the grounds. Any idea on what it may be. tried to jump start it to roll up the windows no luck still no power.

 

Check the main fuses. The 75 amp fuse will kill the whole car.

 

would it kill everything because my haz. light and the security light flash still

 

when I looked at it, it looked good

 

You need to do continuity tests on all of them.

 

been looking for anyone has had the same thing happen to them. but everyone else has the cluster lights come on and my 240 not a single thing comes on no clicks no noises or anything

 

check the fuse box and see if its getting any type of power, the lines going to the fuse box might be in bad conditions. just check up to where u have power and once u jump to that place that doesn't have power check whats stopping the current from flowing. :twocents:

 

Check the fuse panel for a fuse labeled METER, my '98 KA Frontier blew that one out and that bastard took my truck out

 

checked all my fuses and relays and still no power to anything the only things that turn on are the headlights, haz. lights, and the security light is still blinking. does the security system that came stock with the 240sx cut off power or stop the car from working? can my ignition cause my car to shut off while driving or do any of the problems i'em having?

 

i really don't have no idea of what the alarm system is capable of,but if you are in doubt split the wires and manually put them together or try to find a way to bypass it.

i honestly don't think its that, just use the voltmeter and check from the main fuse box all the way back to the battery and see where volt drops or stop.

thanks going to keep on checking out what I can find did find the fuse under the hood for the audio bad but going to take off my battery and charge it its gone low from checking and testing over and over again.

 

One thing I learned is that in the key switch is either cable or rod operated to get the power going. If the rod or cable breaks it will shut off all power expect for system that require power with key off. Check the key cylinder

that's what I think it is if I could get more info on that cable or rod that can break.

 

To get a better idea is to tear apart the column and see if it moves. That be the best thing and be a good start places
