7-9 psi would be MAX on stock internals if you dont want to put a rod threw the block. 9.5:1 comp is high, this doesnt mean you cant run 10-14.5 psi but you can also fix eggs with your feet but it doesnt mean its to be done that way!trust me its alot cheaper to buy some good 8.1-8.5:1 comp pistons and some good connecting rods than it is to go threw 3-4 engines and then get rods and pistons.dont be dumb do it the right way. 7-9 psi and you wont have any problems!!!!

i would say lucy is more like it!i have a 97 and in my opinion 8 psi is still pretty fast im not going to risk killing my baby to go a little faster, ill wait for some lower comp pistons. plus ive heard from numerous sources,i.e.nsport,f-max,and others that 7-9 is the limit, without drastically reducing reliability.

there is more then one person who has 350hp on stock internals, it can and is being done everyday. Unstable-hybrids.com go to projects and he's the second car. He is a member on this forum and is making 347whp on jim wolf stage 2 ecu on stock internals. Nice, respectable car.

well you guys do what you want, you ask how much is to much boost for stock internals, let me be the first to say "i dont want to know" becuase to truely find out somethings gotta blow!!!!!!!!!!hey that rhymed
but at the same time... there is a known limit as far as the highest boost level someone has gone to without blowing the engine (meaning it's 1. safe, and 2. as high as anyone can say).
as for longevity: 2 years at ~15psi, daily and track driven, with a setup that can be bought "off the shelf" from FMax (meaning it's nothing special or something that only a certain individual can get). this is a motor the owner WANTS to kill (so he can install the fully prepped engine waiting to go in) but just hasn't been able to.

basically: answer to this date is ~15psi reliably.

4 years is how long my stock internal KA has been boosted. It's been running at 15psi for the past 2 years... Track driven (road race, not drag, nor street race), and drifting.

Yes, I have a built engine that has been sitting for over 1 year now.... This damn engine won't die!!!
lol see what 20psi does...im sure it will die just fine
