Hey guys,
I am new to the board and the 240sx world...i just recently sold my VW gti and wanted to start a new project so im thinking that ill be building a 240....Money for the build really isnt an issue and i wanted to get some people input onto what exactly i should do.

Im thinking a S14 despite the fact that it is heavier than the other models i like the body styling alot more.

As far as motor goes im kind of clueless here....It seems the the sr20 is the most common swap and im guessing what would be the easiest as far as parts availablity and ease of the swap its self but is that really the best motor for the build?? i was thinking about maybe and RB but based upon my knowledge (which is minimal) isnt that motor VERY large and also parts seem to be a little harder to come across...im not really sure if there are other common swaps that people are doing if so please let me kno....any input would be greatly appreciated.

Body wise i was to do the s15 front end with a widebody kit and blah blah blah blah. Which is pretty much what i have seem alot of people doing with the car although i will deff try to go after a little diffent of a look with my final product.

basically any input as to what my basic blueprint should be would be greatly appreciated.

Also as i start my search for a car to start with should i be looking for something with the motor swap already done or is my best bet to get a roller and do the swap myself?

everything you asked in a matter of opinion. my suggestion is search the forum and look up info on the engines. you can swap any engine you like and all have their pros and cons. ultimately its your car and you need to pick what youll be happy with or what you like the best that fits in your budget. also it helps to know what you want to use the car for. and what kind of budget you have. some advice though. dont buy anything wrecked unless youre making a purpose built track car. you dont need 500rwhp in these tiny cars. and if you buy something already swapped, make sure it runs perfectly. you don't want someone else's problem.

Fully Built Drift Nissan S14.5

i am going to look at this car this weekend obviouisly the car is pretty far built already it set up for drifting right now i might make the switch to time attack but thats besides the point....what do u guys think about the car hes asking 18 for it....worth it or no?
for some reason i'm not so sure u owned a gti. this looks like a track-specific car and at least where i am now, i can easily see it being pulled over at least once a day.
