Basically I am trying to start a project 240sx. Pretty much, as I am sure you have heard ALOT, I plan on taking a 240sx turn it into a s15 look a like, and then see i can get 300whp out her. Then mainly focus on show "style", I am not here to make a "drift" car, (Yes I want it to look like/be one, but I am not drifting it.) That said should I get the s13/14 (Such as which would be easier on the conversion) and I'll periodically keep posting about things such as "engine" "suspension" "tires/body" and just keep getting information. I don't plan on starting till March of next year as I am making my budget till then and trying to find a good shell car.

Selecting the shell. S13/S14.... (Keep in mind its for the S15 conversion, I am not aware ones easier to convert than the other, or if there is a easier chassis to start with.)

Secondly should the shell be bodily sound? Or would it just be worth finding the 200$ ones since im replacing bumpers/fenders etc.

Also Coupe/Hatch/Convertible. (I am gonna pre-assume and kick convertible out...since I kinda want a hard top.)

Ending project is to be hoped to look like this (minus sponsored stickers and formula d racing things like wing. More focusing on Silvia body style.)

Are you aware how much work/time/skill it takes to make an s15 rear end/taillights fit in another chassis? That being said, I would say s14 would be easier.

It still will not look like an s15.. IMO s15 taillights look horrid on any other chassis. if you get a s13, keep it an s13. If you get a zenki, keep it that way and if you get a kouki keep it that way. conversions are getting way to overdone. Nothing every lines up/fits right and it just looks goofy. but thats just my 2 cents.

still does not belong in the beginners section. most likely the multimedia section, or even area 51.

Like I said, beginners section is for new members/newbish questions. my opinion anyways, maybe mods will see it differently.

box is right. about all of it. if you really really wanna do this i suggest you save up an absolute boatload of money. then invest it until it triples. the only real way to impersonate an s15 (not suggestion you do because other than a silvia front end on a coupe, i dont like them) is to buy an s14 and switch out the rear and front body panels for the s15 ones. You're gonna have to have a lot of fabrication skills or a lot of money to pay a shop. Anything done remotely wrong will be a huge obvious glaring screw up. You seriously have your work cut out for you. But if it's what you really want then go for it. Just realize you're talking about 17k to do this? Maybe more?

If you want an S15...get an S15.... The rear will cost more to convert just on tails than you'll spend on the car, and will still look crummy.

And yes, I'd bet a dollar this will be moved/deleted.

Raz- you've been active here 5 minutes. Play nice. Only one here that actually went to insults.
