Everyone has their favorite car. Mine happens to be the 240SX. It has been for years. I was finally old enough to have one of my own and it was then that they became the Civic of Nissan, unfortunately. I finally bought one Thursday, Septemer 18th, 2008 after a long year of searching.

Here she is just a few days after I brought her home.

As of right now the car is at my friend's shop, under the knife. When I drove it it wasn't running great at all. It had quite a few problems. I did however, manage to drive it from west Chester to Northeast Philadelphia in its condition.

September 26, 2008 - And it begins
Drove it to my friend's shop for some work including:
-Engine replacement
-Exhaust
-Suspension
-Body work

Everything being done at the shop is stock work. Nothing aftermarket, no upgrades... yet ;)

October 2, 2008 - Out with the old, in with the new
New engine has arrived and the old one is out.
The engine bay was gross so that was power-washed.
New engine scheduled to go in the next day.
The car was also put up on a lift for an under body coating. What was once rust-free, is now guaranteed rust-free.

Future mods and plans:
Since winter is fast approaching I won't be doing too much to the car. Anything I buy will be saved for the spring when I know for sure I won't have to worry about winter weather.
-Shades of Gray 30% tint
-Intake
-Exhause
-Coilovers (Megan Racing? Suggestions?)
-Rota P-45R wheels 17x9 +25 up front 17x9.5 +12 in the rear (size not definite)
-Paint (Black? Gunmetal?)
-OEM sideskirts
-Possibly a 5-lug conversion?

Sucks you have a coupe... it might have worked out :tears

Your plans sound pretty nice. I'm looking into getting some p45r for my s13 also, but why would you also upgrade to 5 lug? The main advantage to p45rs is the 4 lug pattern. If you want 5 lug get it first then pick out some ballin wheel.

As for coilovers, I would get something more original than megan.

Oh, and by the way... I'm all about the coupe.
You lose, coupes win.

if you were thinking about megan, you might as well go k-sport. Thats what i have, and you can get them for like.. 800 bucks or something off intensepower.com or something like that.

p.s.
My coupe is white, it likes long walks on the beach, puppies, and cuddling

I'm definitely going with the P-45Rs 4-lug, but I'm not gonna have those wheels forever. I get bored of things quickly. The reason for the 5-lug, if I decide to do it, is so that I have more options, obviously. I'm really picky... and I mean picky. I figure, the more choices I have, the less picky I'll be.

Oh, and by the way... I'm all about the coupe.

this thread got creepy on my first post.

pignoses are decent but the silvia front ends are lighter and pretty much the lighting is better than flip ups, so i want it. plus its looks a hell of a lot better on coupes.

Oh, and my coupe doesnt walk. it likes walks

It annoys me how good your paint job is. Too many S13's out there that make mine look like ass.

The Megan streets are supposed to be a good setup. And they also come with the front pillowball mounts, which add to the value IMO. If you have any questions about them, PM a vendor on here by the name of importdps . He's a good guy and could prolly work you a deal.

-I'm going with bricks eventually. I don't care how poorly lit they are.

-ImportDPS? They're shop is like 5 minutes from my house.

Saw the car last night. Engine hasn't gone in yet. Got a copper gasket for the headers. Straight pipe from an SR20, S14 exhaust manifold, will be tuned when everything's together... that's all I can think of right now. Everything is coming together nicely though!

^ I'm thinking it's a different ImportDPS 'cause Rick is located down in Florida. Here's there site: Import DPS - Your Reliable Performance Parts Center and Doctor Mecanico Supplier - Homepage

Here's the link to his profile: http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/members/importdps.html

I just try to refer people to him 'cause he's an active forum sponsor and helps keep the site going. He's also pretty good at getting us (240sx members) discounts.

Pics? Get some shots of the engine bay and the undercoating if you can.

he is wrong apparently.. but yeah heim joints make a huge difference over bushings. zero play plus they dont have motion resistance like a bushing.
