could anyone list the performance to expect from stock sr20det engines from s13,s14,and s15 models? Performance such as 0-60, 1/4 mile, and hp/tq ratings. If you could also list where you found your information that would be great.
thank you

HP/Torque:
S13- 205HP/203lb-ft
S14- 220HP/203lb-ft
S15- 250HP/203lb-ft
I found this from Heavythrottle.com
Not sure about the 0-60 times and 1/4 mile. What kinda car would these motors be to get the 0-60 or 1/4 mile? That makes a big difference.

what kinda forum is this!? lol nobody can answer simple ?'s. im not the most imformative person thats for damn sure. but i would think a s13 red in a s14 would run low 14's totally stock? well i just thought i would say what i think being that nobody else did:)

well nobody is really interested in what it runs stock. A guy here has a stock S13 blacktop in his 90 hatch and it's pitifully slow. To be totally honest with only 7psi and 205hp stock it will prob run in the high 14's at best. I would assume it will be in the low 15's consistently. Add a boost controller and it'll come down of course.

why the large differences in hp betweent he s13-15???

is it a simple matter of car weight???

-chris
I wouldn't say it is the weight because the S13 is lighter than the S15. It's the motor itself. In the S13 it has only a T25 turbine. But in the S15 it has a T28 turbine and VVT in it's motor. Thus you get the extra 45HP. Correct?

I agree 100%! When I get mine it will only stay bone stock for less than a month. Before then it will have all the BPU and few other things along with that to lay the extra power down!:D

when you say stock does that mean WITHOUT the stock turbo???

im real uneducated bout the sr20 swaps etc....

i think i need a SR20DET SWAP MENTOR!!!!!!!! :D
Nah... Stock means with only the parts that you get with the motor and no modifications on the motor at all. That would be considered bone stock. As for the SR20DET swap mentor... Private Message me and I will try to answer your questions if I can but if not I'm sure I could find someone or somewhere to answer them for ya. Peace man!

get the fuck out of here with that bpu nonsense.
just say bolt ons or list the parts.
no one wants to answer the question because if you did a search or simply read the various topics for awhile the info will present itself to you.
my car at 14lbs on the stock turbo, stock smic, with a full 3" exhaust has only done a 14.2 so far. i know it could do much better, but i've only been to the strip 5 times and am still figuring it out somewhat. i believe the car should do a 13.8 or so with that setup.
your question is a litlle pointless because 99% of people who do the swaps at least upgrade the downpipe, test pipe/cat, and exhaust when they do the swap. 90% do that a boost controller, and an lsd. (maybe some decent tires/rubber)
65% do all that and a fmic.
there are very few people in the US who ever get to experience the stock 205 crank hp...
at heavythrottle.com there is a faq section. go there.
don't be lazy and post this stupid shit up because you do not know how to look around on your own...

bpu+++ = you're a fucking ***...:mad:

WTF are you talking about? Would you rather me list out the parts in it or something? I mean just because I said BPU doesn't give you the right nor anyone for that matter to call me a fucking ***! So get your story straight!:assassin

oh, i thought it cam stock with a turbo, hence 'deT'

ill pm you tomorow then i guess
-chris
Alright I'll be looking for the PM when I get home from school. And try to PM you back either tonight or tomorrow. But the turbo on the SR20DET is considered stock since it comes on the motor to start with. The only way it wouldn't be stock is if it has been upgraded. Peace man.

omg..............

I thought it was just a rumor when i heard people saying 240sx doing sr20det swaps are as popular amongst ricer kids as civics with b16 swaps were in the 90's.... now i know it's true!!!

To answer your question about 1/4 times... 0-60 times.... my car has a 2.0L 8:5:1 compression ratio, t-25 equipped (but has 12psi boost stock), very similar to the s13/s14, runs 14.9 stock, and 0-60 in the 6's.

What you mean? The way it sounds you're calling us ricers for wanting a SR20DET. But I could be mistaken tho.

Not necessarily directing towards you.... but look....

240sx's now cost so little any 16 yr old kid can afford one, just like civics are, and they all dream about doing the "engine swap" someday. It just seems to be a growing trend. I'm already seeing 240sx's around more then i've ever seen in the past years thanks to car mags featuring them, now everybody knows how much "potential" this car has everybody and their mother wants to pick one up n do a swap.

I guess im just venting because it seems like it's so hard to find a car that is unique. I first bought my gst to be different, but after the fast n furious came out all i see rolling around the streets are 16 yr old kids in the same car as me. Hey i'm from dsmtalk ok.... those people are known to call everything rice :D

Ohhh ok. I know how ya feel. I am 17 but I have wanted a 240SX for a pretty good while before they really featured them in mags a lot like they do now. But I have a pretty good knowledge of the car unlike most of the people who buy them and put an intake and exhaust on their SR20DET motor and think they are fast. But if they add a big aluminum wing and body... They are unstoppable! I can't stand it! But I am lucky from where I live since there is not really any S14's around here. Thank God!:D

thagr81- do you even own a 240sx? i know you dont have an sr... you wouldn't know the slightest thing about working on an sr eqipped 240...yet you offer to mentor some poor kid in the swap... you can't know that much just from reading internet car forums.
and leave that "bpu++" shit at the door. that's the supra guy's thing-let them have it.
also very few people have any idea wtf you're talking about when you start the bpu nonsense.
so yes, you're a *** for using it. you have no idea what the hell you're talking about when it comes to the 240sx yet you feel comfortable using that stupid bpu terminology.

mods- if you feel you have to alter or delete my post i would ask that you ban me instead and leave this post up. thanks.

haha give that kid a break dude.... we've all been there before; thinking we know a lot about cars from reading car mags but not having actually own the car and work on it.

Usually forums would de-rice people if they're around long enough, and give them the kind of knowledge they can't get anywhere else. BUT..... however after surfing on this forum people don't seem to get very technical into things (or in more offending terms they don't seem to know much).

I know i'm not the most knowledgable person, but i'm just saying i came on here expecting to gain knowledge from some "guru's", and i'm just kinda dissappointed.

Does he get off on calling ppl **** or something? I mean good God! The only reason I said BPU was because I have had that terminology dictated to me before from another member from this forum. And BTW... To only be 17, I have more knowledge than you think I would about the 240. I just wanna get this shit settled and done with. This is supposed to be a friendly get together 240SX Forum, not a bash on your fellow members forum. They actually have a forum that you can do that on. If you want to visit there it's called... www.battleforums.com Give them a try.

Ok kiddo's lets be nice. The BPU thing is all in your head s13SRmadness. I know it has originated with the supra camp but it is a widely known and common term. If you can't deal with it then move on to the next thread or better yet just keep to the original question and put your "I have a SR in my car so I know more than you" attitude away. Ok? good then. ;)
