I think its hilarious that they were all so worried about rounding up all his lug nuts, and the fact he pulled the handbrake before he got out.

The story goes he bought a set of wheels and they gave him the wrong lug nuts. Sure thats not really his fault, but he's the super smart fellow that put em on and assumed that however they went on (or didnt go on) was the right way. Someone made the comment he should seek compensation and I think thats just plain retarded. Its like someone buying a gun from a retailer and then suing them when they accidentally shoot themselves in the foot, or as I like to call it the Michael Moore mentality.

 

That was ridiculous, as stupid as the owner was no fd deserves that. almost painful to watch

ouch. never skip the small stuff. as it turns out, a cheap pair of lug nuts now just turned into a huge repair bill.

 

a friend of mine with an older seven (FC) swapped wheels with mine...we also switched lug nuts due to the length of the studs not clearing my wheel..

..yeah, the thread pitch was off by a little bit, so little we tightened down all of his wheels and 2 of mine before we realized, "hey, these shouldn't be that hard to turn"...we stripped all the ones we tightened and had to restud both cars...

..had a 30 min "let's see what it looks like" job turn into 2 days without a car...running back/forth to the parts store for fucking wheel studs..good times

i feel his pain, luckily we caught our mistake before-hand or both of our cars would've been sledding down a hill.
