Don't, take that money, buy an RB25 and work with that, an RB26 cost A LOT and that extra money can get you extra power.

go rb20 check out enginelandinc.com they have full rb20 tranny and engine swaps for $1200

 

If you go to jazzproparts.com they have the rb26dett (GTR) motor w/ rb25det (GTS) tranny for $4,200 w/ free shipping in the USA. As far as the motor and tranny mounts, I sent an e-mail to McKinney Motorsports to see if they have a mount kit for that engine/transmission combo. Still waiting to hear from them.

Yes the RB25 is a great motor but think about it. The RB26 was a race ready motor. Its actual HP is around 320, not 280. And with some research and tuning to the stock ECU you can gain alot of HP. Plus think about being able to brag that you have a GTR/S13.

 

If you are a beginning driver my PO is run some Koni yellows or Tokico D-Spec with white line springs or your spring of choice. The price is very reasonable, fully rebuild able and they are 3-way adjustable...plus if you mess one of the casings up you can replace it without a worry of too much money being spent.

look man if you have to ask anything about the swap and you cant figure it out on your own then a rb26 swap is not for you... Its can be a very difficult swap to do for some .... So if you have to ask then dont even bother.

 

McKinney motorsports sent me back an e-mail and it turns out that te mount set for the rb26dett is for a swap with the GTS RWD tranny. You can easily find these pieces at optionimports.com. The kit they sell comes with a drive shaft and costs $1100 plus shipping.

I am also planning on doing an rb26/25 swap or an sr swap. The only thing that would keep me from doing the rb swap is time and if it is insanly difficult.

 

The swap has been done on all S-chassis cars, its gonna take alot of money even if you have the skills to do the swap yourself.
