Rear suspension sagging, what's the fix?

I know other people have to have this problem, where the rear suspension seems to sag more so then the front, so your car kind of looks like its squatting on its ass.

First off, what's the cause of this? Does the rear suspension just have more stress on it?

What's the fix? I guess the obvious route would be to get a longer spring/coil to raise the back?

its caused by the backward down movement when you acclerate.
I was thinking that, but that doesn't really make sense. The only real load on the back when you accelerate is when you're accelerating from a stop, or from a slow speed, which is only several instances a day.

But that by itself can't be the reason, otherwise the front should be sagging too, considering it's supporting a 500ish lb motor 24/7 and has to support the constant motion and torque of the motor.

The shocks are blown. Take it to a shop they will tell you the same thing. The front shocks are designed to take a higher load for two reasons. The first being they have to support the majority of the engine/tranny weight vs. the rear shocks, which only support the body and secondly they take a huge load under heavy breaking. Much larger than any load exerted on the rear shocks by mashing the gas pedal. Really the shocks were designed with these loads in mind so neither of these should be the culprit. The reason your shocks would have blown is wear. Think about it for a minute, the car is at leats 10 years old, and has most likely been thrashed on over and over. Shocks aren't built to last a lifetime.

yeah tokico's dont seem to be the best shocks around.
personaly i would go for some koni's if i could.
mad expensive, but rebuildable and adjustable.
else bilstines might be good but also might be abit rough.
