Well kids, I took a break from the s chassis for a few years since my last s13 coupe. I picked up a 77 280z played with it for a while, some one offered me a really good deal for it, and let her go. So that brings me to this 95 s14 I picked up...
Well to start, its a 95 240zx base model, 4 lugs, 5 speed. Originally the car was burgandy, with black interior. It was all original except the previous owner had put some cheap rims on it. It only had 2 owners before me. Car runs great, except a lil grin goin into 2nd gear. Overall the car is in great shape, no rust.runs strong. Clean interior.no dash cracks.etc...
Now the previous owner also decided to have a cheap place repaint the car black... Which was his mistake. Clear coat was gone, painted around everything, etc... So I repainted the car satin black.proper. I also cleaned, then decided to dye the carpet black. Did all the general maitnence to the car, etc. Runs amazing.
Now my plans for the car, and what I have done so far...
I plan to stay with the ka motor, I love em! Were gonna rebuild the motor for boost. Nothing too crazy just a safe reliable, and great response. Looking to make around the 350whp range. Still working out the details on the build...
But more importantly before I start adding power, I redid all the suspension pieces and added a 1.5 way LSD. I installed function&form v2 coilovers. Love em so far. I went with the Isis 8 piece suspension ARM set. Great for the money! Only thing missing now is a nice set of sway bars...
Wheels I went with mb battles, (bronze)17x9.5 on all 4 corners, wrapped in nankang 235/40 tires .
And I installed a nismo 1.5 way LSD, now Aight this, I had a extra s13 dif laying around, so I used it with a greddy s14 cover. Advantages of this s13 case , solid mounts! Bolts right up,no more bushings.SOLID.
but that's all I got going on currently, starting the motor build this month...
