I was fed up with the way my car was running rich, backfiring, stalling, sputtering from my BOV, so I took it off and put the original hotpipe back on and plugged the vacuum source. I have to say my car is amazing!
It drives like a normal car. No backfiring, no stalling, doesn't run excessivly rich. It's even quicker than before (probably because the fuel mixture is leaned out a little). Only thing I'm afraid of is compressor surge that is known for hurting the turbo down the line. Does anyone else run no BOV? I almost don't ever want to put it back on because the car runs so damn good! Unfortunatley with the Blitz, your can't recirculate. I guess the point of this post is my car ran like a junker carberated FORD before, now it runs cleaner and better than my stock civic does. I just wish there was a way to keep this drivability without hurting the turbo do to compressor surge.
