Yea anyways. Theres a S13 Redtop, S13 Blacktop, S14 Blacktop, S15 Blacktop. I dont think there is a difference between the S13 Redtop or Blacktop, The S14 has a larger turbo i think, The S15 has a larger turbo with other things not sure what though. S13 has 205 hp, S14 has 215 or something, S15 has 225 or more, Please add in info on this.

s13 red top and black top are the same specs, just black is newer so you know your gettin a fresher engine. both have t25

s14 has ccvt or whatever nissan calls their variable valve timing, and a t28

s15 has ccvt, BB t28, and a 6 speed

people need to read and do research before they spit shit out. same goes for the person who asked the question. this info is everywhere. try FAQ or sr20 forums.

good job kings blend on the online worthwile post in the thread.

warpig nailed it.

the way to tell the difference between the s13 motors and the notch tops (S14-15) is there is a slope that goes down at the side of the firewall.

dont s13 motors also have high port oppose to the S14/15s that dont?

i knew i left alot of shit out. I just wanted to clarify there is no S15 redtop. I consider myself more SR20 illiterate because i dont have the motor but i still know more about it than the Ricers do. I wasnt really far off what i said, I was too vaig about my statement.

s13s have high-port, and s14's have low port design.

and the variable timing systems that nissan uses are VTC on variable sr's,and neoVVL on their newest i believe. (SR16VE, SR20VET from jspec xtrail)

6speed on the s15 is supposedly weaker than 5spd cause the thinner gears.
